Beautiful. New England was always so picturesque in the winter (lived in boston for three years) after living in th upper peninsula of michigan for three years..

I lived in Michigan for 28 years (Detroit and Lansing). Been to the U.P. once. Fortunately it was in July. Only snowed once. No, just kidding about the snow. :)

I am back to normal (6 am ) tomorrow for the first time in 3 weeks. And tomorrow is my Friday! So almost done!! I feel for you though!!

I lived in Sault Ste Siberia (Marie) for three years, In the coast Guard up there. Then stationed on one of the Coast Guard Cutters in Boston..

Melita is doing wonderfully, as is my son. They are the most adorable couple!! I love watching them interact, they're such happy lovebirds! They're usually quite busy, both work full time, they play together on the worship team at their church, make the long drive to visit her parents on a regular basis, doing their couple things, etc. :eek:

And of course, there aren't enough words to express how blessed I am that Melita is my daughter-in-law. That beautiful lady has such a gift of godly wisdom and graciousness, she is a tremendous encouragement to me. ❤ ​ And her lovely parents and extended family couldn't be sweeter or more thoughtful folks. God is so good! \:D/

A week later and things are a little better. Not much, but a little. I go back to work on Monday and I’m not looking forward to that, but we can’t afford me to be part time, and I’m the one with the insurance plan from work. Till the hubby gets a new job... with more pay and better benefits than me... I get to stay working full time.. I really can’t wait till I can work part time and have more time with my son... man, what a blessing that would be.

Can anyone here give me suggestions for hanging indoor Christmas lights on a metal window frame? I've tried electrical tape but it does not stay put. Someone suggested magnetic hooks but I have not seen anything like that in the department store. Thanks for any help! :)

Never mind! My dear daughter-in-law suggested I ask our neighbors, who have Christmas lights strung with the same kind of windows. The couple not only showed me how to do it, they gave me the dodads for putting them in place. Melita showed me how to reinforce them and voilà! The front windows look fantastic now. I'm so happy!! :eek:

Perfect few moments of solitude to myself.

I need prayer for beginning of next week as I face my first whole week without my son with me for 8 hours a day. It breaks my heart I cant be home with him, but at least his BeeBee (hubbys mom) is willing to come to my house and watch him without having to take him to a daycare.

Thank GOD for small miracles.

NEVER, EVER buy the Bailey's "mudslide" flavor of coffee creamer. I thought it'd be really good, but basically it just tastes like cookies and cream. :/ Also, never buy the Nestle brand caramel macchiato flavor creamer. It is beyond gross...

I think I'll just stick with my tried and true favorite..chocolate caramel.. lol
