yea its his loss and my pain :(
I know it sucks right now.

and I don’t mean any harm saying this ok?

But think about this, things could be much worse than they are now with you and your dad. I’m the opposite of everyone I know cause I don’t have a healthy relationship with my mom.. but I was starting to reconnect with my dad before he passed away. So it’s not better or worse to lose either parent, but do keep in mind that he’s still alive, whether he acknowledges you or not, he’s still your father and I’m sure deep down inside of him.. life or death, he would come to your rescue. :)

he did nearly let me die..the only reason he brought me to the ER is cause he was scared to get in trouble with the law... he didnt want me to get any more treatment and the youth services had to force him..nuff said

Yes and noone is questioning that he is. Doesnt mean tho that he cares. I can wish he would..but in fact, he does not
All you can do is pray.... pray for a change of heart...

Ive been doing that for years about my mom, so only time will tell.

I get it. I once attended a church several years ago in which all they did was judge everyone around them. Sometimes it can seem like, "Christian or not Christian, people are still people." :(

God is our righteous judge who is better at convicting us in regards to our lifestyle than others. We should encourage and strengthen each other and not tear each other down. None of us are perfect and we all have our strengths and weaknesses. The Christian life is a growing process for all of us.

Demi, my heart is breaking for you. I wish there were words to immediately take all this away, but I can pray for you -- for your comfort from our Heavenly Father, for His leading, for His guidance, for his blessing. Do you mind if I friend you so that your face is often in front of me, so I will pray for you often?

exacly..thats one reason why i havent been posting a lot in discussions anymore. people started to ignore me and seem to think that my opinion has become irrelevant all in all. the lack of compassion is sufficating. even if people disagree with my decisions, heck i dont always think others make the right decisions, i still tolorate the diffrences as everyone is different. But some people just bash and think pushing others away is a good alternative.
if Jesus had pushed away people for their choices none of us would be christians as people would have not followed him then

Don't worry about other people judging you, they only do that because they are insecure in their own lives. You are a beloved child of God and we here love you too! Do not forget to be grateful and joyful especially in trying times. My own birth father left when I was very young so in a way I understand your pain. I was in my mid 40s before I was able to let go of my anger and pain towards my birth father. I pray you are able to overcome it sooner.
