We call on Jesus Christ to save us. We use his name in prayer and to cast out demons it carries God's power.He is described as Gods image.If Christ is just a man and not God then we are idolaters. The Jews even tried to stone Jesus whenever he called himself the only Son of God because they knew this was calling yourself equal to God. Who is Jesus to you?

To me Jesus is God, the creator of everything, the Alpha and the Omega, the upholder of my world and the perfecter of my faith, and that's why I worship him. I also worship the Father, and just recently I've started giving more worship to the Holy Spirit (I think he might feel left out at times).

this is the Father speaking to the Son

Heb 1:8But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

Joh 1:1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.Joh 1:2The same was in the beginning with God.Joh 1:3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Why not carry on to verse 9?

You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness, therefore God, your God has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oilo of joy.
