I was hoping that someone would explain to me why in Matthew 27:34 the Bible says that they gave Jesus vinegar to drink and in Mark 15:23 the bible says that they gave Jesus wine to drink. (K.J.V)
I would really appreciate it if someone will help me with this.

From what I understand, it was a poor-quality wine. In fact, the word "vinegar" comes from the French "vin aigre" which essentially means "sour wine." Vinegar can be made from wine, beer, fruit juice, and lots of other stuff. The vinegar offered to Jesus was obviously wine vinegar, then.

So, when Jesus asked for a drink, they gave him extremely sour/bitter wine.

Hehehehehe. I have this mental image of her guzzling wine and assuring everyone that it's ok, she's really a pickle and the wine will turn to vinegar inside her, thus preserving her from the inside out.

..I think that was way more amusing in my head. I also think I should sleep more XD

before toilet paper was invented celts used to use strips of linen

romans used a sponge which they dipped in vinegar before they used it and after they used it

You are all just too funny. I loved the laugh. smiles.
Actually, the apple vinagar is for pickles. The rest is for cooking.
I used to taste the wine but, it did pickle me so now I just smell it and let others taste.
It always easy to tell when its vinagar, their faces. ha ha ha!
The one I have to watch is our cat, the silly thing loves wine. So we make sure he dosnt get into it.
Last thing I need is a pickled cat.
God bless, pickles

Lol, one of our dogs i addicted to cigarettes. We think what happened is the family she used to live with would smoke and throw their cigs on the ground and she would chew on them. She gets SUPER grouchy if my parents smoke and put their butts in the trash instead of on the ground where she can get to them. She, like your cat, loooooooves wine and we have to be careful if we've got any glasses around because she'll get into it. Our pets are winos!
