Do you recognize the voice of God? i'm not talking about hearing him out loud and yes there is his word but has he spoken to you in your spirit? Do you hear him often? do you also hear the enemies? When I hear God speaking to me mostly its encouraging things like I need you to be strong for me or I love you deeply or you are a precious child although tbh I never believe the last one lol. the enemy is very easy to hear- you are not strong enough you are not good enough how could God love someone like you how can you possibly be worthy things like that.

satan is always easy to hear but I believe when one creates a deep and intimate love with God we are able to hear him speak to our hearts much easier.

There is another voice we hear - our own thoughts coming from the experiences of our lives and what others have told us.
Much of what you hear about not being good enough I discern is what you probably heard growing up and probably took root in your spirit.
Faith thoughts are kept busy fighting off the thoughts that come from our own flesh in addition to lies the enemy tells us to break our faith in God's word.

Usually just through scripture...
on rare occasions when I think I do hear Him, I test the experience, also with scripture.

And yeah, satan is nagging all the time, even now.

How much of the voices we think are the enemies, are really just our flesh?

1 John 3:10 This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not God’s child, nor is anyone who does not love their brother and sister.

Hebrews 6:1 Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God,

Acts that leads to death, is like if I hated homosexuals, and started bullying them, and which it has led them to commit suicide; and by my actions has led them to death, and which that isn't of God. The spirit only leads us to perform acts that leads to life, not to destroy life.

I find people are more inclined to believe they are hearing from satan more than they hear from God, why is that? lol Is God not our Father?

Didymos' post is a good example of what I mean (not to pick on you Didymos, it's an example :) )

Also...

1 John 4:5-7Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

5*They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. 6*We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

7*Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

Since we live in this world and Satan has control over it, it's much easier to hear Him (in my opinion, at least) than it is hearing God because sin and evil surrounds us everywhere.

It seems that most forget that God speaks thru a still, small voice.......and the word blares loudly as well as the conviction and or direction of the H.S. as it leads, guides, convicts and convinces....!

Yeah but, God is inside us, He is closer than anything could ever be, we are one with Him.

Ruth 1:21 I went away full, but the Lord has brought me back empty. Why call me Naomi? The Lord has afflicted me; the Almighty has brought misfortune upon me.”

Ruth 2:13 “May I continue to find favor in your eyes, my lord,” she said. “You have put me at ease by speaking kindly to your servant—though I do not have the standing of one of your servants.”

God didn't even said a word, but He still had communicated.

A lot of people lose track of that or don't know that, though. The post was in response to the person saying we are more inclined to believe we are hearing from Satan than from God. Because this world is so messed up, it's so easy to get lost in it.
