You mean there are absolutes after all? Truth isn't up for a vote? Darkness and Light do not coexist?

The darkness shall be destroyed by the coming of the Light.

Matthew 24:27For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

2 Thessalonians 2:8
And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

I reckon that is why Jesus asked the question in John 11:9 "Are there not twelve hours in the day?"
Genesis 1:14
And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

John 11:9-10
[SUP]9 [/SUP]Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world.
[SUP]10 [/SUP]But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him.

So in Genesis 1:3, it wasn't speaking about the light emitted by the celestial body called the Sun?

Luke 11:34
The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.

The message is twofold, the Lord shows us the true spiritual things by natural objects.

The eye is like the window to the soul, if your eye is evil then it is like a dirty window not allowing the Light of the Lord to shine in. But if the Lord anoints your eyes and makes them clean, then the Light can also enter in and illuminate the soul.

Zechariah 14:12
And this shall be the plague wherewith the Lord will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.
Matthew 3:7
But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

What communion hath light with darkness........ NONE! Like I always say...go into a dark room and turn on the light and the light always dispels the darkness.......!

And they for sure do not share the room..Half light and half darkness......!

And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. Genesis 1:5

With the moon there is a shadow of turning, = has a dark side. :) One greater Light rules the day and the children of Light, the other lesser light rules the night, and the children of darkness.

Genesis 1:16
And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

The moon only receives the Light the Sun gives it, but the Sun has no shadow of turning.

James 1:17
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
