2 Timothy 3:12,13
12Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, 13while evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.
From my dad's side we are descendants of a loooong line of Polish Jews> turned Roman Catholic centuries later after getting out of Poland and coming to America by boat from Germany to Ellis island in the mid-late 1800's.
When i was saved by grace after the night i almost gave up on life...... i told my dad what had happened, that i woke up dancing knowing my sins were forgiven and that God is alive and Christ saves sinners. During a conversation with him a few months later he asked if i was still Catholic i told him no they rejected my testimony and told me it's not enough to be Christian you have to be Catholic. My dad's response.......?
"YOU DON'T GO TO THE HOUSE OF THE LORD"
?, the Spirit
moved me to tell him "
YOU CAN'T PUT GOD IN A HOUSE MADE WITH WOOD AND STONE" He "
disowned" me then and even to this day. My point is i can totally agree with the quoted statement of William Hendriksen about the newly converted Christian women who had moved in to Israel in the 50's. Pretty sure most of the apostles, brother Paul, the disciples, and a lot of other Hebrews experienced the same thing. We always have, it seems tradition is a pretty strong grip especially with people of Hebrew decent. Search the scriptures and you will find this same scenario played out time and time again. The way i see it....... it's like Joseph's dream with the haystacks bowing to his haystack.......one day they will be ashamed for hating us without a cause.
