Recently, I came across the Bible verse with the Pharisees accusing Jesus. Jesus says that blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is unforgivable. After reading it, my mind has been filled with AWFUL thoughts against the Holy Spirit. I'M SO SCARED.
I feel condemned, please help me.

The most common interpretation of this verse would be to reject the Holy Spirit. So, basically its say to refuse the gift of salvation God offers.

I talked to my Mom about it and she said it is attributing evil to the Holy Spirit or attributing the Holy Spirit to evil. I don't believe anything from the Holy Spirit is evil or anything evil is from the Holy Spirit. BUT I THOUGHT IT. I don't understand.
I hate these thoughts. I pray and ask if I had committed this sin and sometimes I feel like the answer is yes, and sometimes I feel like the answer is no.

If you committed the sin and were guilty you would not feel back about it. So you haven't.
But the blasphemous thoughts sound like the enemy tormenting you.
Often abuse survivors struggle with strange intrusive thoughts.

Blaspheme against equal a word against?

At least when you compare between them they seem consistent in the same (followed by an example)

Mat 12:31 Wherefore I say unto you,
All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men:
but the blasphemy
against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

Mat 12:32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him:
but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him,
neither in this world, neither in the
world to come.

Luke 12:10 And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him:
but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.

Mark 3:28
Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:

Mark 3:29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:

Mark 3:30
Because they *said*, He hath an unclean spirit.

Blaspheming and/or speaking a word against anything wherewith men blaspheme shall be forgiven but when it come to that seems clear thats speaking against the same in an example.

In Matthew it is written this way

Mat 12:32 ....but *whosoever* speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him

Shows speaking against and an example of such is shown in Mark

Mark 3:30 Because they *said*, He hath an unclean spirit.

You just stumbled on to something friend. The mind is the battlefield.

Your mind needs several things to be sound and healthy.
It needs a challenge, purrpose, goals,a hero, and inner conversation. OK?

Your mind is on the move,as with everyone's mind. So,give it a new place to go. Never try to "UNTHINK" something, you will end up focussing harder on what you want to get rid of....instead REFOCUS on the correct thing and set it in front of you.
Presto!! now you are NOT thinking of that garbage that wants to park in your precious space of your mind.

Discipline,determination,focus....we will never be victorious w/ out these ingrediants.

BTW,the only way something can NOT BE FORGIVEN is if you are dead.Only then is it too late.

In revelation, there are those that hailstones of fire and stinging scorpions are tormenting. These poor souls might even be carrying the mark of the beast on their foreheads.

God says "and still, they would not repent"........meaning,if they would, he would reach down to them.
I don't see any mark on your forehead.

But the Bible says whoever commits blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is unforgivable.

Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit consists of either of 2 things and ONLY of two things:

1) Giving Satan credit for what the Holy Spirit does.

2) Giving the Holy Spirit blame for what Satan does.

A believer with the Holy Spirit living inside him can NOT do either of these!

Satan has to pass on thoughts to you to tempt you. He did this even to Jesus in the desert when he tempted Him ("make these stones become bread" etc)! That's just demons trying to scare you... You reject these thoughts, just like Jesus did... take heart and rest in God. A lot of people get that fear and such thoughts when they read that place in the Bible at some point. And, what your mom said.

I used to be fearful of God in an unhealthy way as a child.

Bad things happened to me, by time Sunday rolled around, I was so sooo sooo angry at God, then I'd be fearful. Then the weekdays would start again, and bad things would happen, Sunday roll around, I'd feel angry at God again, then I'd be fearful.

Nice cycle, right?

Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

God is love. God wants you to love Him and to love others. That's all it is.

All repenting is is leaving behind the old and turning 180 and looking towards Jesus.

Anyone can be crippled in discouragement or fear of salvation.

Hebrews 4:16
Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

I don't look at the bible in regards of legalist manner. That's what the men Jesus debated would want, actually.

The thing that BLOWS my mind about Jesus, He healed people, but the more important way was He healed them spiritually. :)

Read the bible, trust in the Lord with ALL your heart. When you give yourself, you will grow, you will feel so empowered. Trust me, I've been there. :)

I wasn't angry at God when I did it. I felt fine with Him.
I don't know if these are my thoughts or not. What if they were my own thoughts?
We see David in the Bible who felt remorse after sinning with Bathsheba. He repented but it didn't stop the consequences of it.
Spending all my life believing in Jesus, and now this happens. I'm only a teen, why does this have to torture me?
What if I had willfully thought it?
I can't tell if I'm in denial or I accidentally did it. If I did do it on purpose, what would that mean?
I'm so sad and afraid.

Been walking with Jesus for over 30 yrs.

Your perception is wrong. Jesus is not making us walk a skinny board over hell to see us misstep and fall into a feiry pit.
You are replaying a rabbit trail in your mind.

Read what is posted in this thread:

Jesus was speaking not to believers but to the Pharisees when He was talking about blaspheming the Holy Spirit.

This does not apply to believers.

It is pretty much rejecting salvation to begin with.. not anything that happens after being saved.

I would like to know if a christian helped plant this in your mind. Then I would like to take that individual to the woodshed for a "counselling session" ..

That's what I felt too, Can't allow yourself to be your own worst enemy. Being a Christian isn't walking a tight rope, all that jazz.
