[h=1] Leviticus 17:10-14Revised Standard Version (RSV)[/h] [h=3]Eating Blood Prohibited[/h][SUP]10 [/SUP]“If any man of the house of Israel or of the strangers that sojourn among them eats any blood, I will set my face against that person who eats blood, and will cut him off from among his people. [SUP]11 [/SUP]For the life of the flesh is in the blood; and I have given it for you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement, by reason of the life. [SUP]12 [/SUP]Therefore I have said to the people of Israel, No person among you shall eat blood, neither shall any stranger who sojourns among you eat blood. [SUP]13 [/SUP]Any man also of the people of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among them, who takes in hunting any beast or bird that may be eaten shall pour out its blood and cover it with dust.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]“For the life of every creature is the blood of it;[SUP][a][/SUP] therefore I have said to the people of Israel, You shall not eat the blood of any creature, for the life of every creature is its blood; whoever eats it shall be cut off.

I wouldn't eat blood, because to me, the idea isn't appetizing. But Christians live under Grace, not under the Law. We live in the New Covenant, not in the Old Covenant.

Acts 21:25
As touching the Gentiles which believe, we have written and concluded that they observe no such thing, save only that they keep themselves from things offered to idols, and from blood, and from strangled, and from fornication.

Lev 17:11-14
11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.
12 Therefore I said unto the children of Israel, No soul of you shall eat blood, neither shall any stranger that sojourneth among you eat blood.
13 And whatsoever man there be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, which hunteth and catcheth any beast or fowl that may be eaten; he shall even pour out the blood thereof, and cover it with dust.
14 For it is the life of all flesh; the blood of it is for the life thereof: therefore I said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall eat the blood of no manner of flesh: for the life of all flesh is the blood thereof: whosoever eateth it shall be cut off.

Um... I have a phobia of having blood taken out from me. So I don't know this whole notion of "eating blood." Wouldn't you drink it , though? Regardless... Count me out... Don't do well at the sight of it.

Yes and Acts 21 is carried over from Acts 15 in which all the Apostle got together to determine what Gentile believers were still to obey and the Holy Spirit approved this;

Acts 15:28
"For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to lay upon you no greater burden than these essentials:

Acts 15:29
that you abstain from things sacrificed to idols and from blood and from things strangled and from fornication; if you keep yourselves free from such things, you will do well. Farewell."

Acts 15:20
but that we write to them that they abstain from things contaminated by idols and from fornication and from what is strangled and from blood.

Thats true and thats under grace also

Acts 15:11 But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.

This verse just preceeds yours

I know this is under grace as it is the Apostles talking about what the Gentile converts to belief in Christ should obey, and those are the only ordinances they and the Holy Spirit deemed appropriate. These verses show as many do that their is still a standard that believers are to uphold.

There will still be blood in any meat you eat, I dont think its possible to even remove every traceof it, and even if there was such a spot in an egg anyway theres still less in it then there would be in a bite of meat.

Isaac ate Venison, so they ate meat could be how, like here

1 Sam 13:42 And the people flew upon the spoil, and took sheep, and oxen, and calves, and slew them on the ground: and the people did eat them with the blood.

Verses the blood poured out on the ground

Duet 15:23
Only thou shalt not eat the blood thereof; thou shalt pour it upon the ground as water.

Our butchers today drain the blood out of the animals though

The law not to eat life blood is also reinstated in Acts 15:29. It is ok to eat broth (animal blood that has the life cooked out of it). We are to throughly cook the life out of meat before we consume it. I won't even eat steak with any pink inside.
