The gentile church needs the enlightenment of the Jewish OT,and MESSIANIC jew to unravel the mysteries of the NT.

All my 30+ years of walking with the Lord,I have never heard anyone get the "it is finished"thinggy right.
A messianic Jew unlocked this for me..

We all are just guesing w/o revelation

I apologize for posting so many songs. Every time I read those words of Jesus, every time I hear or speak those words, my spirit just is so lifted up I just feel like praising Him and glorifying His Holy Name! \:D/ Thank You, Jesus!

On a side note - He also brought to an end the animal sacrifices required for sin - all symbolic of and satisfied by His blood.

That is wonderful and I'd be interested in hearing what you have to say about that.

But as for me, a Jewish carpenter unlocked "it is finished" for me and the enlightenment of His Holy Spirit dwelling in me was sufficient to unravel the mysteries of God the Father loving me so much, He would give His only begotten Son, and that if I believed, I would never be forsaken or face death, but have His everlasting life. And because He lives, I reign with Him forever and ever. Hallelujah!

But feel free to share your "revelation" on Christ Jesus' words. As long as it is not of some "private interpretation" and it is a true witness of Jesus Christ crucified for the sins of the whole world, I am interested in it.

Sorry popeye but I get my doctrine from the bible. I don't need a Jew to unlock the New Testament for me.

Now,with this knowledge unfolded,we can begin to understand the torn veil of the HOH.

Ciapphas torn vesture......temple torn veil

IOW,it is much deeper than what we are grasping, and the human mind CAN NOT see the deeper things. They are "unveiled"

Woah,I cant believe I said that "unveiled"

Woah, "unveiled"

"unveiled" get it?

Woah

"When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost." -John 19:30

My hubby and I were discussing this Scripture last night, and we are in agreement (although we come to it in different ways) that the "it" is the debt that Jesus paid for us all -- the fulfillment of the Law.

So what say you? How would you describe the "it?"
John 17:1-417 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
[SUP]2 [/SUP]As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.

I believe that says the work was finished before he went to the cross doesn't it?

Most revelation is recieved through an open recepticle.

It is the attitude that brings the gift.

The priesthood is a nobrainer,as is the disenfranchisement of Jeus,Ciaphas, and John.

There is hardly any depth to this concept I shared. It is not "hidden" is is like eating pudding, nothing really to it.

But if we think Jesus reveals ALL revelaion to us individually......you are open to deception, for we are a body, and no one man recieves the "whole" Only a part

It is not my "revelation" as you say.

........as were the disciples and paul wrote half of he NT....also a Jew.

He might as well toss out Hebrews as it is 90% typeology using the same methods I reproduced.

Nope, a Jew did not give me the New Testament, The Jew gave me the New Testament.... and that's the only Jew I need to understand scripture. I don't need Jewish fables to understand the bible.

Then you, being such a expert and puritn, must hve seen how God used a donkey to speak his word.

You are ignorant of the things of God to think we are not a body, and that God speaks to and through each and every member.

The stuff I shared is a literal no brainer, but your attitude towards the body of christ closes off your ability to learn

He had completed everything that was prophesied in the past about Him, and plus He was the first to be born from the laws that had became perfect ( acknowledge whom God is, and merciful), if there wasn't none to be found, then mankind will be consider as being worthless and will be tossed out with rest of the trash where's there will be weeping and gnashing of the teeth.

Matthew 5:18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.
I believe the "It is finished" question has been answered well enough by others, so I have nothing to add to that. I will simply state that I do not believe that the Messiah's "It is finished" on the cross is connected in any way to Matt. 5:18. I believe Matt. 5:18 is connected to the "It is finished" of Rev. 21:6. This is when the old heaven and earth pass away and are replaced by the new, and everything is accomplished.

Exactly.

In the kingdom to come,Jesus sets up the throne of David.

The priesthood has already changed. That is the absolute heart of the issue, the priesthood.

Well, we still has the poor. If you believe that our old ways has past away, then why we has war and still have preachers that are doing the same as the pharisees were doing? To me, it look as if history is repeating itself, again and again; so it did not has past away until the coming.

Revelation 9:12 The first woe is past; two other woes are yet to come.

Revelation 21:4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
