Many professed Christians are so benumbed by the same practice that their moral sensibilities cannot be aroused to understand that it is sin, that if continued its sure results will be utter shipwreck of body and mind. Man, the noblest being upon the earth, formed in the image of God, transforms himself into a beast! He makes himself gross and corrupt.

Every Christian will have to learn to restrain his passions and be controlled by principle. Unless he does this, he is unworthy of the Christian name.

Some who make high profession do not understand the sin of self-abuse and its sure results. Long-established habit has blinded their understanding. They do not realize the exceeding sinfulness of this degrading sin, which is enervating the system and destroying their brain nerve power.

Moral principle is exceedingly weak when it conflicts with established habit. Solemn messages from heaven cannot forcibly impress the heart that not fortified against the indulgence of this degrading vice. The sensitive nerves of the brain have lost their healthy tone by morbid excitation to gratify an unnatural desire for sensual indulgence. The brain nerves which communicate with the entire system are the only medium through which Heaven can communicate to man and affect his inmost life.

Whatever disturbs the circulation of the electric currents in the nervous system lessens the strength of the vital powers, and the result is a deadening of the sensibilities of the mind.

There is actually a LOT of very credible informative study in this area. Sexual fantasies and other addictions really DO seem to create havoc in neural transmitters AND on the actual physical growth and shape of the brain, itself.

This is a very delicate matter. A subject I think should be discussed male to male and female to female and not on a public forum designed for sharing of Christian subjects.

There is a big difference between the male's natural response to this than the female's natural response, as you should know.

My understanding of scripture is that we should not take advantage of or defraud anyone on this subject matter, so we must be careful in what we say concerning this.

"For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality: that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God: that no one should take advantage of and defraud his brother in this matter, because the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also forewarned you and testified. The nervous system is the seat of all mobility, so when its over taxed, it becomes weak or dysfunctional. As a man thinketh so is he. Proverb 23:7.

Just as the body weans, so does the mind. Every thought has an affect on the body.

Well then I guess every teenage boy with raging hormones is practicing evil. This is the exact kind of mindset that sends people to the dark reaches of separation because they feel so ashamed of what is in reality...,a very natural part of the human experience. Shaming people into isolation also causes sin to grow. Oh how does satan love to separate us thru the torment of shame and then eat away at us piece by piece.

Such a person has not given their entire life to Christ. Also, using male pronouns when refer to mankind in general is common practice, in many languages.
