If a person decided to degrade the Word of God for lack of discernment, would that person ever come to understand the foal of a donkey Jesus rode triumphantly into Jerusalem and gave his life? This is not only the fulfillment of an Old Testament Law, it is also about each and every one of those who are redeemed. Have you found yourself hidden in the personal teaching of this Law? It is hidden because our Father in Heaven gave witness, and the world did not believe.

Imagine the contradiction......a lowly man without any glory, comeliness, weakly and beggarly riding an ass into Jerusalem as opposed to the valiant Son of God, Conquering hero with all power and glory coming on a White Charger from heaven as King of kings and Lord of lords with his vesture dipped in blood........at the head of an army of Saints on white horses............good stuff for sure......

I have no idea what the OP's point is either. It looks like he's trying to say that because Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey that we are still under the Mosaic law or something along those lines maybe. That's obviously not true.

Isnt swallowing a camel like swallowing an unclean (or filthy) animal (even if only in a spiritual sense)?

You could ride an unclean animal you just could not eat them right?

Or swallow them, like swallowing a camel, (so swallow one, verses ride one, and even then not literally so)

Gen 49:10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.

And we know...

Heb 7:14 For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Judah

Nor the lawgiver, as we also know...

James 4:12 There is one lawgiver,

Isaiah 33:22 For the LORD is our judge ,the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; he will save us.

Whereas Jesus says,

John 15:1 I am the true vine

And then here it says...

Gen 49:11 Binding his foal unto the vine, and his ass's colt unto the choice vine; he washed his garments in wine, and his clothes in the blood of grapes:

And here Jesus told them,

Mat 21:2 Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose them,
and bring them unto me.

And then we see...

Mat 21:5
Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.

Now here I am unsure yet...

It says,

Gen 49:10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet,

**until** Shiloh come; and unto (((him)))
shall the gathering of the people be.

Gen 49:10... and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.

Ephes 1:10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:

Romans 1:5 By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:

Okay, not sure on this one, just got verses sitting on the sidelines, been stuck here, I am not convinced the last three actually go together yet

I read the screen name, ya right!
And think maybe they're having a go.
The donkey wasn't a filthy animal. It was a humble strong beast of burden. And it was, like all that Christ did, symbolic and representative of his fulfilling prophecy.
Maybe read:
Matthew 21:1-11

And his triumphal entry into Jerusalem: Luke 19:28-44
And even Philippians chapter 2 and imitating Jesus humility.

Happy reading.

We may despise donkeys but in Jesus' day asses were very respectable animals and highly prized. Powerful king's rode to their coronations on an ass (1 Kings 1.38). Jesus was not humbling Himself by riding on an ass. He was proclaiming His kingship.

Correct. The unclean animals have their place. Just not in our mouths.

I try not to take in anything from swine, or cast my pearls before them

but I like bacon, especially in quiche Lorraine or a BLT

Yoders even makes decent canned bacon too. Just really pricey

The witness of one instructor referred to this teaching as an ass, a filthy creature. You are right, no buses running that day; but the biblical teaching is about you in the fulfillment of an Old Testament Law. Rather than walk around it, I would hope you engage the subject whether you have an answer at this moment or not. This is an invitation to learn.

The donkey is not lawfully considered a filthy creature; in fact it is a lawfully clean creature. Jesus riding triumphantly into Jerusalem on the foal of a donkey is the fulfillment of an Old Testament Law. This law and the language of this law is specifically about what Jesus did for you.

If you understand the meaning of the law against partaking of the nature of the swine which does not carefully consider its food (chew the cud) you would see that this nature could be found within you at times when you did not carefully consider God's word as food for your soul. It is that nature which is a legal place for demons to enter into, sending a person to his or her own death because of sin.

Not casting perils before swine is about a nature which can be found within each of us if we do not carefully consider the word of God as food for out soul (does not chew the cud), We should not cast perils of God's wisdom at the feet of the nature of a creature that does not carefully consider God's word as food for his or her soul. To cast perils of God's wisdom before a nature found in swine, is to treat the word of God as if it is meaningless and trample the Son of God underfoot.

Sorry about the meaningless contribution. I thought that if someone cared to understand, they would have stayed on topic.
