Hello everyone! For me, the purpose of this topic to discuss as much as possible close to the Scriptures about who is Jesus Christ really was, is and who is to come. Speaking ahead I do not try to adopt someone in his position, as it is written:

"The one who eats is not to regard with contempt the one who does not eat" (Rom.14: 3a),

I hope though, that you will not be so quick to censure my position on this issue too, because as it also said:

"And the one who does not eat is not to judge the one who eats, for God has accepted him." (Rom.14: 3a)

I'm also not trying to assert that my opinion is correct. I'm just trying to figure out with you in a very difficult (perhaps not until the end of soluble human mind) things, but at the same time is very important.

The reason for creating this thread in a forum format was the also the fact that I'm not that good at English to be able respond right away in detail and with quoting to all the questions in a chat format that I had chance to have.

Yury,
I commend your effort in presenting your post.

First, eating meat or not eating meat is a matter of personal choice. Aside from boundaries established on the basis of love, 1 Corinthians 8, the eating of meat does not affect my salvation.

On the other hand, what I believe concerning Jesus does affect my soul.

Jesus was not just a good man.
Jesus was not just another prophet.
Jesus was not created in the imagination of man.
Jesus is not an emanation from God.

Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God.
Jesus is the Lamb, who takes away the sin of the world.
Jesus is the only man to be born of a virgin.
Jesus is the Lion of Judah.
Jesus is Lord and Savior.
Jesus is the only way to the Father.
Jesus is the Bread of Heaven.
Jesus is the Rock.
Jesus is the Great Physician.
Jesus is the King of kings and Lord of lords.
Jesus is the First and the Last, the Alpha and the Omega.
Jesus is the Firstborn from the dead, that in all things He might have preeminence.
Jesus is the Rose of Sharon, the Lily of the Valley, the Bright and Morning Star.
Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
Jesus is One with the Father.
Jesus is the True Shepherd.
Jesus is the Chief Corner Stone.
Jesus is I Am.
Jesus is the Light.
The Word was God, and the Word became flesh, man. That man is Jesus.

Ok.first you have to understand who Adam is,and what happened with Adam, and how it effected all his decendants,(us).

This will help you understand the backdrop for the father's Rescue of mankind, and the price demanded to purchase us back.
Jesus was the ransom, the purchase price.
From here we can talk about WHO he is,the God man,the ONLY one that could resurrect and take us captive back to heaven.

Amen. Same with me.

Thank you, sir! :)

Thank you for your thoughts on that. About the food, I meant more knowledge as an image of food than the real food. That food does affect to salvation.

like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation (1Pet.2:2 + John 6:48)

In that matter the phrase 'you are is what you eat' not so far from truth :)

[h=1]Hebrews 2:7-17[/h] [SUP]7 [/SUP]Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:
[SUP]8 [/SUP]Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
[SUP]10 [/SUP]For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,
[SUP]12 [/SUP]Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
[SUP]15 [/SUP]And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

The LORD Jesus Christ is true God and true man.

He existed as One Being with the Father and the Holy Spirit from all eternity.

He took part in the creation of the world.

He came into this world and became man through the operation of the Holy Spirit on a virgin.

Having lived a life of complete righteousness He suffered on the cross for our sins, opening the way for us as sinners to become acceptable to God.

He arose from the dead and is now seated with the Father on His throne, as well as being in His humanity at His right hand.

He will save from the guilt, power and consequence of sin all who come to Him trusting Him to be their Savior..

Hey Yury,

Awesome to see you on a Christian web site and will say that I have Russian friends who live close to me and own a small store in my community.

There are many words an phrases that can be applied unto Jesus and the list below is not all inclusive.....

1. Immanuel<---God with us...Jesus is the word that came to be flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld his Glory as the only begotten of the Father.
2. Jesus is the ICON of the invisible Heavenly Father...when we look at or see Jesus we are seeing the Heavenly Father...The word ICON means express image....Jesus said when you see me, you have seen the Father and I am my Father are ONE.
3. Jesus is the GREAT I AM of the bible.....I am the way, the truth and the life.....literally I am the true and living way. I am the light of the world said Jesus...he that follows me shall not walk in darkness. Jesus also said I am that bread that comes down from heaven.....
4. Jesus is the savior of the world and the one and only mediator between God and men.....
5. Jesus is God and the creator of all things....All things were created by him and for him.....
6. Jesus is the word.....In beginning was the word, the word was with God, and the WORD was God....The word came to be flesh and dwelt among us...

Really at the end of the day....John said the world could not hold the volumes that could or should be written about Jesus and all that he has done.....

I believe Jesus was God in flesh. In other words, God decided to come to earth in the form of a human being, so he did so as Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ is the Messiah sent by God to save from eternal condemnation his people, which are those who believe in and obey Jesus of Nazareth.

Jesus is, The Greatest Love and The Greatest Life.

He will tell you who he is if you ask.

I like the eternal word, that's correct.
