It is so important that folks study their religion background so there is understanding of ones belief. So folks are able to understand, explain and articulate their faith or belief with evidence. Maybe folks will begin to study for understanding, wisdom, TRUTH, and freedom from the lies of man.

Thank you for sharing this, Sister. I enjoy studying social aspects of different cultures, beliefs and religions, but when it comes to Truth, there is only one, and the Truth is Jesus Christ -- the Son of God, Lord of all, Savior to those who ask Him.

A very good chart, but I'm not sure about the majority concentration of Christians being in Europe. I would've put China well above Europe.

There are no longer many Christians in Europe, or maybe I'm thinking of just the UK. No worries. Thanks. I still believe China should be added to the list though.

yup about 200 millions in china
How many Christians are in China?
The lack of credible statistics on how many Christians are in China today have led to estimate that vary widely.
At one end, some Bible organizations claim that there are as many as 200 million Christians in China already, not without the hope of encouraging continued flow of support for their many programs for aiding the Christians in China.
At the other end, the Chinese Communist Party most recently reported 18 million as the number of baptized Christians in China's Three Self churches in 2004.
To conservatively estimate how many Christians are in China today, let's start with the 18 million figure (the number of baptized Three Self church Christians in 2004).
2014 - 2004 = 10 years. Applying a conservative annual growth rate of 5% over the past 10 years brings the 2004 figure to 29 million baptized Christians in China's Three Self Churches as of 2014.
This 29 million figure excludes the Christian children of the baptized Three Self church Christians because the Chinese government forbids baptism until 18 years of age. Using a conservative ratio of 1 Christian child under 18 years of age for every 5 baptized adults takes the current number of Three Self Church Christians to 35 million (29 million + 20%).
Estimates on the ratio of underground house church Christians to Three Self church Christians generally range from 3 to 5. Using the in-between ratio of 4 results in a figure of 140 million (35 million x 4) house church Christians.
140 million (house church) + 35 million (Three Self church) = 175 million. But this figure double counts about a third (approximately 12 million) of the Three Self church Christians who also attend house churches during the week. Subtracting 12 million from the total brings us to approximately 163 million* Christians in China as of 2014.
This figure is corroborated by Xiaowen Ye, head of the Communist Party's State Administration of Religious Affairs, who reported at a 2006 closed door meeting at Peking University in 2006 that the Protestants in China numbered 110 million.
2014 - 2006 = 8 years. Applying the same conservative annual growth rate of 5% (110 million x 1.05) over those 8 years also results in 163 million as the number of Christians in China as of 2014.*
163 million* is both a large and a small number. There are now more Christians in China than in the United States, but this number still represent only about 12% of China's 1.4 billion people. As large as the Lord's harvest is in China, it has only just begun.
To stifle the growth, Chinese Communist Party is restricting seminary education to its lone showpiece - Nanjing Union Theological Seminary - and employing new tactics of Christian persecution.
* The Lord knows how many are truly born again Christians.

Depending on the sect, Jews and Christians are respected, specifically by the Sufi Muslims, who are mostly found among the Kurdish now, but at one time were the largest sect.
We do acknowledge Judaism as true religion until the Incarnation, prior to that we acknowledge that salvation was of the Jews.
Most do acknowledge Islam as an extension, but better put they view it as an abomination of Judaism, corrupted by the seed of Ishmael (excepting Ishmael who is still viewed as righteous.)

April 1,

The end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.- 1Pe_4:7.

The word of grace and truth, like a judicious physician for the body, prescribes different recipes for the soul. Sometimes the bitter draught of affliction; at others the strengthening, comforting balsam of faith, with the restorative mixture of love; but at all times a necessary regimen, whereby to rule and govern our lives, so that our souls may prosper and be in good health.

To use means in faith is our bounden duty: to neglect them is a contempt of the wise prescriber; whereby we suffer loss and receive hurt to our souls. As faith binds the soul to Jesus in the sweet bands of love, so it produces a conformity to him in heart and life. As the Spirit enriches the soul with precious graces, so they are accompanied with his transforming influence. He ever directs to the word he has inspired, that we may be taught to avoid those things contrary thereto; and also to practise those duties, which have a native tendency to strengthen the soul in persevering in holiness and truth.

An intemperate thirst after, and inordinate indulging ourselves in the enjoyment of any of the good creatures of this life, sadly indispose the mind to spiritual concerns. This is contrary to the life of faith; interrupts sweet communion with the Father of spirits, deadens the heart to holy fellowship with Jesus, and opposeth the comforting consolations of the blessed Spirit.
Hence the soul finds great languor, deadness, and formality in its addresses at the throne of grace. Thy soul and mine is therefore called upon to consider, time, how short! eternity, how near! The judge is at the door. All things are on the point of dissolution. I am expecting the messenger to call me hence.

Since continuance here is so uncertain, all worldly enjoyments so precarious, and all certainly perish in the using, what temperance, what sobriety of conduct becomes one? And this is certain, Jesus, with his much incense, is ever before the throne. It is a mercy-seat, sprinkled with his precious blood. From hence all grace is bestowed; all power given. O may we be concerned to watch continually against the motions of the enemy, the stirrings of pride and lust! watching in prayer for the power of the Spirit; watching after prayer for an answer of peace. And when, disciple, is the time that this exercise may be omitted? Verily, not till faith is lost in sight, hope is turned into enjoyment, and prayer is lost in praise. O what a precious word is this from our Jesus: "Whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do."- Joh_14:13.

And shall I then neglect to pray,
When Jesus thus declares?
Despise his word, refuse his aid,
Amidst ten thousand snares?

Forbid it, Lord! thy Spirit send.
To quicken ev'ry thought;
To soar above this trifling world,
Till I to thee am brought.

Forbid it, Lord! thy Spirit send.
To quicken ev'ry thought;
To soar above this trifling world,
Till I to thee am brought.

Many sects of Islam sure, but I am going by their foundation ...the Koran.
Judaism is not the same as what Moses intended. It was formed sometime in the intertestamental period and was roundly rebuked by our Lord.
I agree on the Isaac/Ishmael matter.

Please DO NOT spread hate for a different religion because HATE is not the IMAGE of GOD.

Jews and Christians are respected as "People of the Book," but they have wrong beliefs and only partial revelation.

Islam and Christianity are false interpretations and extensions of Judaism.

Judaism is a true religion, but with incomplete revelation. Islam is a false religion.

Troublesome on many fronts.
Jews and Christians are respected by Islam? Not according to the Koran.
Even Jesus did not accept Judaism with it's man made traditions over God's Word.
I do not know of any Orthodox Jews who see Islam as an extension of Judaism.
Have you read the Qu'ran? Show me in the Qu'ran what page so I can read for myself. I will go to the university later today to read it and make a copy about what you are saying or look online copy from the Qu'ran about hating. Are there outside writings yes just like Hebrew has outside writings also. All three religions have dark history of violence. Truth is Truth!

Wow. I wouldn't compare Islam's history of violence to Christianity's at all. The Christians have nothing on the Muslims.

Hate for sin, death and the devil is godly though. So hating pagan religions is a-okay. But hating the people who belong isn't okay.
