Is God today, the same God that spoke to Abraham, Issac, Israel(Jacob), Moses, and the prophets? Or did He change somewhere along the timeline up to now?

God does not change in nature, power, character, sovereignty, or ability.

Whether God, in his sovereignty, changes His way of dealing with people in different times and places is arguable; but does not change the basic premise.

What would make you think he has changed?

We change.
God does not.

How many different ways can we say this? :)

He is the same yesterday and today and forever. Why do you think America is the situation that is? Israel was offering their children to BAAL. Since Roe VS Wade over 3 million babies have been killed. God said, when Israel was offering their children to Baal, even if Moses and Samuel were in the land , I would not spare it. I would save their lives but destroy the rest.

America has gone too far. God told Asa that He would not see the judgment for Mannaseh. Asa was a good king and led Judah back to God. But the inoocent blood that Mannaseh had to be judged.

Therefore, Asa was killed in battle before the judgement of Judah.

America was gone to far to come back. America is now sin city and we wonder why all these bad things are happening. Well we got what we wanted, but don't want what we got.

I don't know if the Lord changes. Certainly the path to heaven hasn't changed - we still have to obey the commandments.

I think the OP was asking why does He appear to change in the Bible.

A blood thirsty killer in much of the OT
Loving and non violent in the NT (Jesus)
And back to a murdering slaughterer in the book of Revelation.

And it is a very good and valid question.

God's judgment on Isreal: God forewarned Israel in advance of what He was going to do. Because He is just He had to act on their disobedience but because He is graceful He gave sinful people in Israel a change to change their ways before He acted upon their disobedience.

Also in the Old Testament: people were saved eternally the same way as the new. David believed in a Redeemer.. so did Job. There are many others.

Genesis is a pictures of Jesus' salvation when an innocent animal is slain to give clothes to Adam and Eve.

No change in eternal salvation. No change in God being full of grace and truth.

God did have different covenants though.. He promised never to flood the world again after the flood. He replaced the OT Law with the NT system of service. Sacrificing bulls and goats has been done away with.

Spiritual gifts - only three remain now.. some were fulfilled and put away.

This is responding to men as they serve and fail to serve. As they work with His plans.

Not a changing God.. but a relationship with people that He responds to.

The above bolded do not accurately represent God.....God is neither of the two that have been bolded.......and to be frank, I am surprised that you would equate those two characteristics to God......

Don't be "surprised"... be observant, and read what I actually wrote.

For I am the LORD, I change not... - Malachi 3:6a

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.
- Hebrews 13:8-9

There's also another good reason God doesn't change...

That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

- Ephesians 4:14-16

Why does everyone blame God?
If we obeyed Him there would be no
Murders, thy shall not kill
There would be no sickness, if we ate the way God told us to eat, he gave us a guide to what was clean and unclean foods we choose to eat what we want to.
Thou shall not steal , there would be no reason for people to steal if you did what the Bible said and take care of your family and paid your tithes.
You need to stop blaming God for your sins! He wants us to love Him and obey Him willingly. He doesn't want robots. So many diseases are from sex and if there was no sex before marriage or adultery. Why can't you see you bring this horror on yourself from not obeying God.
He is a Loving Kind God and only ask us to really do 10 things? Think about it!!!!

But the Bible says that neither you nor, I, nor anyone down through history has EVER been able to do that... and it further says that the very reason those Laws were given in the first place was to show us that we could not keep them.... thus we need Jesus.
