O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

This man sounds like he is more solid than a lot of people that call themselves christian.
One reason for this is his initial rejection of everything he has heard and been told about God. He then goes to prove/disprove Him.
That's what I did. Ignored everything I had been told or taught. Started from scratch. Got in the word and double checked everything I heard and everybody.
Most people aren't solid. They have already accepted what they were taught and if any of it was in error it's too late - they're not going to reject it.

Right now I am drinking from a bottle of water. How do I know it isn’t poison? Well, my wife gave it to me. She has no reason to harm. I haven’t seen any news reports of anybody getting sick from drinking bottled water. The name of the company is reputable. The bottle was sealed. It doesn’t smell funny or appear discolored. It still could be poison, but based on that evidence I take a sip and I taste and see that it’s good. And the Bible says “Taste and see that the Lord is good”

The Lord is Good and his mercy endures forever and is renewed daily......Praise the Lord for sure......AMEN Phil!

Most atheists are intelligent people who realize that acknowledging God includes being accountable to Him.

Our country's obsession with independence makes it difficult for many to recognize dependence on anyone, even God.

That is why pseudo-scientific theories are promoted in schools as if they were fact. Those of us with the intellectual honesty to recognize our accountability have a much easier time acknowledging Jesus' claims on our lives.
