Hi all,
I am enjoying reading these debates and opinions and studies on subjects.

Can anyone tell me if there are any recent threads on the subject of Paul and whether his teachings were right or wrong, etc, or is it a subject that has been killed?
Have people been banned due to it, or are there people on here who believe such?

... I'm not of the opinion that his teachings are wrong and I don't write this to start a debate. Just wanting to ask all the long term regulars on this site because they should know such things...

I think Paul was a faithful disciple of Messiah, with great love and zeal for the gospel. I also think he is possibly the most misunderstood of all writers in the living Words, that he did not contradict what was written before him, he explained what it is to live by the spirit.

There have been threads..you can do a search. As to whether it's inappropriate? I'd suggest you ask the mods...and

Welcome to CC.:)

Since I have been on here I have not seen any that say rather his teachings were right or wrong persay, but they were more along the line of rather or not he taught a different gospel message or not.

Some think that he did and others believe he did not, which the teaching that he did not teach a different gospel but confirmed all that the Lord taught. There has been a couple come on here that I believe are taught under the Paulinian doctrine which goes by only what Paul taught, and says the gospel books, James, Hebrews, and part of Revelation does not apply to us. One even posted a video where the man said they do not teach repentance of baptism because neither apply to us. They completely try and write of the great commission with Paul's words which Paul does not do, as he was commissioned by the Holy Spirit to give the meat of the word.

If you hold to the current denominational churches the you must ignore and throw out the writings of Paul.

What are you talking about?

I have been in many many current denominational churches, and the letters Paul wrote to the churches are very much observed and lived by. There were some specific instructions for individual churches which some feel are not relevant for today, but for the most part his letters are about dying to self and living unto Christ. He explains what the blood of Christ does for us. His death is looked at in depth. We learn about His amazing grace and mercy which is a free gift. We learn that we are given the free gift of His righteousness. We learn what love is in II Cor. We also learn what grieves His Spirit. We learn what pleases Him.

The characteristics and work of the Holy Spirit is given. How could we have the complete understanding of Christ's work without those letters?

You can't, but at the same time you will deny Paul's teachings on speaking in tongues. You will deny the gifts of the Spirit and seek humanistic psychology to answer the problems of the people.

Yet once again not all current denominational churches and even the non-denominational movement denies the gifts of the Holy Spirit and do believe speaking in tongues, healing, and all the other gifts do still happen today. Those who do not have been mislead in a misunderstanding of 1 Corinthians 13:10.

Paul talks about two gospels, the one for the circumsised, and the one for the incircumsised, He documents that the law of moses expresed in his ordinances like the 10 commandments have been made void and nailed it in the cross.
This Idea is imposible for some churches, especially the ones that want to take economical advantege by creating rules.
Paul Ideas are so revolutionary that no cristian church follows them. His postulate is that Non jews has to live by the grace and spirit and not by the "Law"

His teachings? Not his, Christ's. If one believes the bible then one must know that what Paul brought was not his words. Those that don't accept that are hellbound because they believe the bible to be a lie.
But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Deny Pauls teachings? Never fathomed that anyone who calls themselves Christian would ever do that. *scratches head*

Paul was inspired of God, was taught by direct revelation from Jesus himself, writes almost half of the New Testament and like Peter said...His teachings are very deep and those who are ignorant and unlearned in the word twist Paul's words to their own demise....He teaches the things that Jesus needed to teach, but his disciples were not yet able to bear them......Paul brings to fruition the expansiveness of Grace and his writings are to be studied, believed and incorporated into a believer's life.....!

Thanks for the replies ... and the welcome Karraster:)
I was going to do a search but thought because there are so many threads that go off in different directions, maybe a debate of sorts has been covered on this subject but under a title that wouldn't necessarily be linked...

I enjoy reading debates about more controversial topics because I get quite fired up when reading them.
I have heard and seen of some people who believe that only Paul's teachings are incorrect in the Bible.
I asked if they were banned because I wondered if they'd be afraid to admit anything on threads, etc.

Kenneth, I have heard of that term Paulinian but I never knew what it meant so thanks for taking the time to explain a bit! I don't really take the time to google things or know of the technical terms they have for everything under the sun nowadays.

I will keep having a look through archives.

Paul received more revelations than anyone living or dead, IMO.

A beliver in Christ is not able to ignore what God Almighty, by His Holyspirit taught Paul to give to the church.

Galatians 2:7 But on the contrary, seeing that I had been entrusted with the gospel to the uncircumcised, just as Peter had been to the circumcised

Galatians 2:8 (for He who effectually worked for Peter in his apostleship to the circumcised effectually worked for me also to the Gentiles),
