I wanted to ask this question because I have been hearing a lot about the law of attraction. My friend bought me a gratitude journal the other day and It is based on the law of attraction. It has readings in it about serenity, it even mentions the phrase heartfelt prayer but does not have scripture or identify with God. I feel like I should dispose of this book because I have a weird feeling about this book. I was just wondering what other believers opinions are about the law of attraction?

It is not from or of God. The weird feeling you get is from the Holy Spirit. No demonic religion would gain converts unless it had something to offer. At least, temporarily, until the price comes due. I went to the web site for this...........system of belief?...........and found that the founders, the masters, are secret. That should be enough right there.

I think of it as more of an urge than a law. Actually I believe the phrase come from physics and has to do with Newton's law of gravity. It's funny how we call it Newton's law when actually it's God's creative brilliance that makes the whole physical universe operate. Yeah, throw that book out. If it isn't from God, then be rid of it.

This is that new age stuff, that Oprah was into. The idea is that other people's misfortunes are due to them radiating negative energy. So if anything bad happens to you, it's because you haven't been positive enough,, and you attract all this bad stuff to you... it's not only anti-God, it's insane, the people writing books about this are making lots of $$$$$$.
