A very careful analysis of the bible while being honest with what it teaches about salvation, baptism, the Lord's supper, what a church is, the offices and ordinances of a true N.T. church and the doctrinal practices of a true church will reveal the truth and what demoninations have the truth and or those who are the closest in line with the truth.....and to be honest...if they have the first one or two on the list wrong then they can be alleviated immediately as true and or from God!

Well you can tell if they are deceived by what the bible says and shows, that if they preach only hearing the gospel for salvation but say the doing as in obeying the gospel is not then they are deceived. For the bible which is the word of God says a hearer only is deceived, and says those who do not obey the gospel will be punished.

2 Thessalonians 1:8

In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

I think that most denominations (NOT CULTS) have or once had agreement on the essential doctrines necessary for Salvation. I believe that anyone who believes and follows those essential teachings will be with Jesus for eternity.

I believe that there is great benefit in being doctrinally correct about things not included in these essential doctrines.

I realize that we are unlikely to agree on what is doctrinally correct until the Jesus brings us to Himself.

I believe that all who agree on the essential doctrines of salvation are our brothers and sisters in Christ.

I believe that treating our brothers and sisters (and even unbelievers) with courtesy and kindness is more important than winning arguments; even though I am sure that my words occasionally fall short of that belief.
