How long have you been reading the bible??

I started reading the bible in appx. Febuaryish. Now that I'm on this journey I would be curious to see how long people have been studying the bible?

I'd like see if a lot of the people on this forum were brought up reading the bible or if they came to it later on in their life.

About 20 minutes.
But I plan on reading more later, after dinner.

since 1993, as Led and Drawn of by the Paraclete, before that, had NO TIME for the Bible , other than the religious exercises we were made to go thru as a youngster and child..... 22 years... People began to say and notice, whats up with him? he's reading the Bible, instead of partying and going out and having fun'.... lolz.. He Was Drawing Me in! indeed!

I have been reading the bible for 15 years on my own. The neatest thing about reading the bible is that each time you read a certain passage you can get something totally different out of it. I look forward to every time I pick it up. I usually read a couple chapters daily.

I began in July 1962 when I became a Believer.
In the fall of 1966, I stopped reading and began to study the bible.
Reading is good, but studying is much better.

Later in life for me, i read the bible (19-20 yrs old) before buying a gun (21st b.d. present). Back then when living in the projects in a gang infested neighborhood in SoCal, and after getting in several fist fights with grown men i wasn't "gonna play around". Stopped reading the bible for a long time after that.
Then 9 years ago when the Holy Spirit dawned in my heart i continued to search the scriptures daily being governed by God's Spirit in me.

Btw glad you got called to see and hear the Word, i wouldn't recommend a road map for reading scripture but know God will lead you back to His Word through His Spirit you were sealed with when you heard the Word and believed :)

As long as I can remember. My mother used it to teach my sister and I to read. We used our school books to teach the rest of our siblings.

I read it since then, but I didn't start studying it until I was in my thirties. I wish that I had started studying it as a teenager.
