The word of God is life, in that it has everything your heart and mind needs to know, must know to really live, the mind of the living, eternal God, which is about as alive as things get, don't you think?

Hebrews 4:12 - For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. I'll never forget, prior to my conversion, whenever I sat down and read through the Bible how much of it just went right over my head, but after my conversion, it's like a light came on and I could actually understood God's Word as if blinders have been removed. Actually, the blinders of unbelief were removed upon my conversion and now I can see. Praise God! :)

Yep the Word of God is Life and it is Alive... everything outside the Spirit's quickening is flesh/carnal.. thats why I asked if some just read the Word of God out of ritual or tradition... the Spirit Draws, It Quickens the LOGOS Word, makes it come alive.. indeed.. He opens the mind and understanding to the Truth, this He does as the Spirit leads, those to Draw Nigh unto Him.. indeed....

God Himself thru the Paraclete, the Spirit of Truth, makes the LOGOS come Alive in your Hands as you read and study.. indeed

It is the Spirit that Quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the Words that I speak unto you, they are Spirit, andthey are Life.

Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works:

Of whom be thou ware also; for he hath greatly withstood our words.

At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me: I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge.

Notwithstanding
the Lord stood with me, and Strengthened me; that by me the Preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion. 2 Timothy 4 INdeed!

The Word doesn't become alive...it is alive...

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

It's what brings us Life, besides it's dangerous to separate the working of His Word and Spirit.

John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Dt 8:3
3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live.

Yes its ALWAYS ALIVE there familiar one.. but when somebody is Led of the Spirit, it BECOMES ALIVE.. His Life is lived thru you.. unless.. its by tradition and ritual one reads.. then its just LOGOS.. How do you think the Carnal person that Go is Drawing understands the Word unto Salvation.. the carnal man just doesnt pick up the Word and 'understand' it as It becomes alive. he reads understand carnally.. but there is No Illumination.. from the Paraclete. indeed! those He is drawing into Himself.. He is Leading. them the Paraclete is active in their life.. as they desire to read and understand His Word, other than waking up in the AM. then sayiing to oneself. ho hum.. i better ready the Bible.. thats what a good christian does.'.. stark difference in that versus somebody who is Being Led of the Spirit.. to feed his/her inner man.. indeed
