I was just listening to chat and people defending Dr. Dino (Kent Hovind) and his pseudoscientific malarkey and stating that he was falsely imprisoned.

Not to mention somebody said there is evidence of human footprints right alongside dinosaur footprints.

Dang, that was some funny stuff.

Do you think Dr. Dino is a total fraud or the best thing since sliced manna?

JackH,

Could you please start by telling us what you believe,
so we understand your perspective?

1. Do you believe the bible is true, or accurate?

2. Do you believe God created the universe?

3. Do you believe God created the earth and our solar system?

4. Do you believe in a literal creation, that God created everything ON the earth?

5. Do you believe in evolution, that all creatures, including man, evolved?

6. Do you believe Christ was a real historical person?

7. Do you believe Christ was God incarnate?

8. Do you believe Christ was born of a virgin?

9. Do you believe Christ died on a cross, and then resurrected from the dead?

I'm guessing you don't know that is actually true? Perhaps before you rail, you should become aware.

How about we do it like this. You ask me one question, I answer it, and then I ask you a question. You answer it, and then you ask me another question. That's the way a discussion works. And please attempt to keep the questions and answers somewhat related to the topic at hand.

With respect to your question No. 1, I do not believe that there is any bible known to man that is 100% true or 100% accurate. If you believe otherwise, what bible is that, exactly? The King James? The Septuagint (LXX)? Or what?

The bible is relevant to this topic because I see many comments to the effect that, "The world is 6,000 years old because the bible says so."

Aware of what?

Are you saying that there is evidence of human footprints existing alongside of dinosaur footprints?

That's exactly what I'm saying. And the fact you aren't aware of that pretty much disqualifies you from disparaging the statements you heard in the Chat Forum. If you are unaware of the arguments, you have no business commenting.

Well, let's figure out who is aware of what.

Where is this evidence of fossils purporting to be human and dinosaur footprints that prove humans and dinosaurs coexisted?

What museum are they located at? Or exactly where?

What scientific evidence exists that the fossils are in fact that of humans and dinosaurs walking together?

Of course, if the dinosaur was a T.rex, the human was probably not walking with T.rex, but was probably running away.

Unless that was before the fall when T. rex didn't eat meat, according to what I seen some Young Earth Creationists post in these forums.

You should watch some of his videos. His imprisonment came within a few months of his video release about the Federal Reserve and the elitist societies that run it (Masonry).

I won't go so far as to say that his imprisonment validates his conspiracy accusation,
but his imprisonment does show that he took his theory seriously enough to act upon it.

Kent Hovind is an analytic logician, not a scientist. He has a fascination with fossils and archeology, which is why many of his videos are about such things.

If you want to hear many of the same things, but from the mouth of someone with credible authority on the topic, look up Ken Ham.

And here is the link to Ken Ham's website. and it is very good.

I don't know why I'm bothering, because your skepticism reeks. However, you can find them here.

I would like to know what this has to do with the Bible??

The OP has no Scriptures, does not purport to discuss the Bible, theology or any other topic to do with Christian growth, discipleship or evangelism. He will not answer questions concerning whether he believes the truth of Jesus Christ.

On top of it, this topic has been thoroughly covered in another thread in the Christian News Forum, which the OP knows full well. So let us cut to the chase, and ask you the most important question.

9. Do you believe Christ died on the cross for our sins and was resurrected from the dead?

I'm not sure what your view is, but as a conservative evangelical Christian I do not like Kent Hovind either.

I don't like it that some young earth Christians call old-earth creationists heretics like he has in the past. I have in mind his debate with Hugh Ross. Hugh does not believe in macroevolution and believes the Fall was a literal event, yet Hovind called him a heretic. Hugh believes in the total inerrancy of Scripture as well; he just thinks the account is open to a different interpretation.

In addition, the KJV Only position is ridiculous. It was a good version of the Bible for many years, but doesn't account for additional manuscript evidence. Hovind is a KJV Only person.

I am tentatively a young earth person but I don't really care for the attitude of many young earth people. They tend to treat others with contempt over a relatively minor difference of opinion. Jason Lisle from ICR has the same sort of attitude. Their attitude alone makes me consider proclaiming myself an old earth person, however that would be sort of petty.

Hovind is a hard headed person who is very opinionated. His attitude is why he ended up in prison..he is basically unteachable. He may be a Christian..I don't know..but his attitude reflects a lack of humility that is characteristic of mature Christians. If he is a Christian God will continue chastening him. He may end up in prison again if he doesn't learn his lesson.

Yes, I do believe Christ died on the cross for our sins and was resurrected from the dead.

Now I have a question for you.

You have indicated you are somewhat of an expert on the Greek manuscripts.

Dr. Dino (Kent Hovind) has videos that babble on about a global flood.

Doesn't the Septuagint (LXX) indicate that the flood was not global?

The Septuagint (LXX) is the bible, right? One Jesus and the apostles quoted from, right?

Those Paluxy footprints allegedly proving humans coexisted with dinosaurs have been debunked so thoroughly that even Young Earth propaganda machines like Institute for Creation Research have told their groupies to quite using the Paluxy footprints as evidence that humans coexisted with dinosaurs.

I guess you didn't get the message.

Are you now aware that there is absolutely no evidence from any reputable scientific source that there are any fossils of footprints proving the coexistence of humans and dinosaurs?

My view is that Young Earth Creationists unnecessarily pit the bible against science, which they misrepresent.

Who says Young Earth Creationists misrepresent science besides me?

The federal judge in his written opinion in Kitzmiller v. Dover.

Dr. Dino (Kent Hovind) is still in prison. Initially he was convicted on 58 counts, 12 tax offenses, one count of obstructing federal agents, and 45 counts of illegal cash transactions. He will be back in court later this month on more charges.

I'm amazed at how Dr. Dino fans try to brush off his criminal behavior.

Funny stuff is evolution touting as good Science - History is not Science - it's not repeatable or falsifiable

Why do you say he quoted from that?
If the flood was not global, why did God tell him to gather animals if they could escape to reach a different area, or already existed in other areas?
