It's interesting how human nature tends to grade itself on a curve. For
example, a surprising number of Christ's followers-- both his believing
followers and his unbelieving followers --seriously believe that LGBT are the
lowest form of sinners on the earth; but note the variety of behaviors in the
passage below ranked right up there with LGBT.

†. 1Cor 6:9-10 . . Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the
kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor
idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor
thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will
inherit the kingdom of God.

Some of the behaviors on that list have become so common in American
society that you'd think they were normal; e.g. sexual immorality, adultery,
theft, alcoholism, slander, and swindling.

I have seen 1Cor 6:9-10 on many occasions used to bash LGBT, but I cannot
remember even one instance of it being used to bash porn stars, or people
that sleep around, or cohabitating couples, or people conceiving babies out
of wedlock, or people cheating on their spouses, or that shop lift, or Ponzi
schemers, or unscrupulous investment bankers, or Wall Street barracudas,
or heavy drinkers, or people that say things about others that aren't true.
Curious, isn't it?

An example is Oregon's ex governor John Kitzhaber. Not only was he
shacking up with a girlfriend while in office, but they were living together
right inside the Governor's mansion; and the media, instead of raking
Kitzhaber over the coals for his indiscretion, took to calling his paramour The
First Lady.

Supposing one of Christ's believing followers is pegged in the list of scum bags
that Paul compiled in 1Cor 6:9-10. Will they be banned from the kingdom if they
don't cease and desist whatever it is they're up to that's no good?

Isn't there something mildly oxymoronic about the phrase "Christ's naughty followers"?

Tell me, Weber, who among His followers hasn't at one point or another been naughty?

I think of potty mouth christians....a dime a dozen. It embarrasses me. I try to shift the conversation when a brother starts getting raunchy. It's a polished technique I have acquired. Smile. R they on that list? Maybe talking trashy is ok as long as you don't do that list. I jest!

"at one point or another" is one thing. But what about Christ's followers who
consistently practice one or more of the behaviors listed in 1Cor 6:9-10; will
they be banned from the kingdom?

Folks don't really seem to realize or think about the fact that the 600 thousand Israelites who were delivered by the way of the Red Sea had fallen in the wilderness later on and were not allowed to enter the Promised Land. Only Joshua, Caleb, and the children of the Israelites were allowed to enter the Promised Land. In other words, narrow is the way that leads unto life and few be there that find it. In other words, lt's like the parable of the sower, they all succeeded against the enemy in havig the Word sown in their heart, but yet some of them had fallen away due to persecution or the cares and riches of this life.

For anyone who truly knows their Bible knows that God's people will not be able to get away with unrepentant sin or in rebelling against God.

Just read 2 Timothy 3:1-9. There are false believers who have a form of godliness but they deny the power thereof and they abide in various sins (thinking it is okay).

One time or another yes. But not more often than not. You don't make a career out of it.

ALOT of Naughty Christians are going to make up the Coming Global Harlot, oh yes.. those 'not acting' the way they are suppose to .... during that time frame... these will be given an ultimatum.... either you get on board, with what we are proclaiming as the 'godly image of christ'.. or we will 'help you conform ' your behavior to it.. and that will be by the use of Pharmaceutical behavior medications.. sorcery-witchcraft- works of the flesh. which is what the 'naughty christians- their gospel- there message is all about'.. creating a carnal man made image of christ.. when the veil is pulled away. this is Idolatry at its best.. indeed.. the Great Whore, the False Bride is coming with charismatic, witchcraft, devilish power, once Daniels 70th week starts... indeed! there will be no 'let me think on that' for awhile.. lolz..

Jason, has Jesus the Christ ever Baptized you in the Holy Ghost? ? with Evidence of that Baptism?

The Scriptures say, Whatseover is not of faith is sin. So all sin is rooted in unbelief. For sin is not of the faith.

Yes, I was baptized of the Holy Spirit before I was water baptized (with water baptism just being a picture of symbol only).

and the Evidence of that ? I dont see it...
The evidence is there for those who want to see. But I do not need to defend myself. Christ is my Judge because He knows all things in what I do (and you are not Christ to know of what all people do and say so as to Judge in such a way). But I do honestly love you and I will be praying for you.

I am against Works Salvationism and have argued with Works Salvationists before against such a false belief. So you are barking up the wrong tree. I believe it is the righteousness of Christ (God) that works in the believer. That Christ does the "good work" in you and it is not actually ultimately you. We merely yield to the Lord in what He wants to do thru us (Which takes place after we are saved by His mercy and grace and the regeneration of the Holy Ghost).

People see what they want to see. I don't need to defend myself, for the Lord will defend me and God's people (who know me) will defend me.
