Okay, so lately it feels like everything is going like crap. I'm feeling bad(because of a change in meds), all of my stuff feels like it's been breaking down, I still don't have any really good friends, I I don't have a girlfriend or really anyone that has the even slightest chance of becoming one in the future, I still don't have a job. While this kind of crap has been going on my friends have been getting stuff like girlfriends, become stronger Christian and quickly(for me it seems like it's going really slowly...), actually being happy, Actually having jobs... I just don't get why things are going so good for them and are going like crap for me...

They keep telling me to be more positive, but are there any actual Biblical reasons for that? When ever I tried being positive it seems like nothng changed....

Blessings and cursing come out of your mouth. Your thoughts are blessings or cursings. Your post is a curse. You are putting the power of satan onto yourself dothackzero.

I've told you to speak forth the things that you don't see. That will be you blessing yourself. That is you opening your faith to the powers of God.

Claim what you don't see as if it is so. You have to start thanking God that you are going to have a terriffic girlfriend. A nice job. Thank God for all these things even before they happen.

That is you putting your faith into action.

Your talking about all the bad things is you releasing power from hell onto yourself.

Stop realeasing powers from hell onto yourself.

Out of about a 100 post of yours 1 time I seen you say something positive. So 1 time you put a blessing on youself and 99 times you cursed yourself.

You can either do the will of God or you can keep making satan have power over you.

This is not a game. It is all very real. The book says the word of God is life! Chose life!

Change your thoughts and chnage your speaking.

If you post and you can't say anything good then just praise God.

Say something good is going to happen to me today.

Your words actually change the air that is around you.

Your words bring power from heaven or from hell.

dothackzero declare your furture.

You are waiting for God to change everything in your life.

God is waiting for you to change how you think and how you talk.

He can't send help to you if you stay in feeling sorry for yourself mood, poor me, poor me.

If you want to stay in the poor me place he will let you stay there.

If you want out of it then do as he says. Speak life into yourself.

Pr 15:26). Gentle, kind words, by soothing the mind, give the body health.Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary
16:12. The ruler that uses his power aright, will find that to be his best security. 13. Put those in power who know how to speak to the purpose. 14,15. Those are fools, who, to obtain the favour of an earthly prince, throw themselves out of God's favor. 16. There is joy and satisfaction of spirit, only in getting wisdom. 17. A sincerely religious man keeps at a distance from every appearance of evil. Happy is the man that walks in Christ, and is led by the Spirit of Christ. 18. When men defy God's judgments, and think themselves far from them, it is a sign they are at the door. Let us not fear the pride of others, but fear pride in ourselves. 19. Humility, though it exposes to contempt in the world, is much better than high-spiritedness, which makes God an enemy. He that understands God's word shall find good. 21. The man whose wisdom dwells in his heart, will be found more truly prudent than many who possess shining talents. 22. As waters to a thirsty land, so is a wise man to his friends and neighbors. 23. The wise man's self-knowledge, always suggests something proper to be spoken to others. 24. The word of God cures the diseases that weaken our souls. 25. This is caution to all, to take heed of deceiving themselves as to their souls. 26. We must labor for the meat which endure to everlasting life, or we must perish.

I could tell you all kinds of reasons to be positive thankful but I don't think thats really what you want to hear,I get depressed a few times a year and am depressed now but getting a little better, sometimes we get in these modes and even if things are going good it still doesn't matter. When we feel down we are down. I have allot to be thankful for and so do you.

Life is not fair evil people prosper and others take whats not theres by right. Regardless of if we have been treated fairly or not we need to be thankful for something. I come into this discussion group with posts I try to make fantastic or as good as I can, that isn't really me it's true I have the Word in my heart but sometimes the advice I give, I need to give to myself. I am not a great Christian and things don't always go wonderfully for me, I struggle with loneliness (cabin fever this time of year), things at work and some things at home.

A few things I know God is good, the Devil is bad. I know God will always come through even if I don't. I've found just because someone looks like they have it made (or all together) most often isn't the case there is always a few strings attached and a price to pay.

At onetime I was so defunct looking for a wife as a Christian and made some bad choices but I couldn't get it out of my system and one day I thought this wasn't doing God any good, so I thought what is the one thing I could do that is the exact opposite of looking for a wife. The answer was to host a men's breakfast and minister to the men in the church so I cooked allot of food and what I would do is talk about scripture or things on my mind and I gave all the men a chance to prepare something to share sermon or anything they want to talk about for each monthly breakfast. The last breakfast I hosted at the church I used to go to I had a sermon prepared with a certain scripture and my pastor didn't know if i had something and when I started speaking his eyes lit up because what he brought was the same scripture I had. I think it was seek ye first the kingdom of God and all these things shall be added unto you. (i'm still working on obeying that)

I think being positive and thankful are the same thing. I used to have a storm raging through me and it was hard to keep my mind and my emotions stable, this lasted for years. God also gave me just a small taste of how someone else felt going through extreme mania. When things were so bad I couldn't hold it together I had to cling to God with everything I had. sometimes these times of depression are good times because God is all you have, and things do get better and you come away from it with another piece of God you wouldn't have otherwise. Bad things aren't always bad.

Sounds an awful lot like prosperity gospel stuff.

Good and bad things alike happen to all of us. It doesn't always have something to do with us. Many times, it is the will of G-d that we go through pain and suffering.

Php 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice.

2Co 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,
2Co 1:4 who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
2Co 1:5 For as we share abundantly in Christ's sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too.
2Co 1:6 If we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; and if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which you experience when you patiently endure the same sufferings that we suffer.

Jas 1:2 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds,
Jas 1:3 for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.
Jas 1:4 And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

1Pe 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
1Pe 1:4 to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you,
1Pe 1:5 who by God's power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
1Pe 1:6 In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials,
1Pe 1:7 so that the tested genuineness of your faith--more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire--may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
1Pe 1:8 Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory,
1Pe 1:9 obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

Christ never promised life would be easy, but he did insist on us having joy.
Happiness- satisfaction based on circumstances.
Joy-satisfaction in God and his promises.

OK. There is good news in the bad news. Depression is a real disease. Being sad, not feeling positive, low energy, focusing on what you wish you could do or have are actually a part of the disease. Seeking activities, for example Faith Based Mental Health Support Groups and doing some volunteer work helps. But keep taking the medicine and communicating with your doctor on how your condition is. Mental Health problems ARE NOT DEMONIC AND NOT BECAUSE YOU ARE A SINNER!!! Christians have an easy time finding a demon behind every bush instead of actually looking to Christ. You are going to be OK. Just don't let your depression lead to suicide thoughts. There are people who will be upset and grieve you. You are not doing anyone a favor by hurting yourself. I know, you didn't say you were thinking of hurting yourself. Just saying it happens with depression. I wish you had a local friend who understands and will stand by you and encourage you through this dark period. Yeah, I am a consumer who knows about mental illness. When you find that your not alone in your illness and that your illness is a chemical imbalance you can find peace in who God has made you.

You need love and support. Want to talk send me a note and I'll even talk to you via phone. I'll even do research to find out what help is in your community. My focus is always finding Faith Based support, however there are good outpatient hospitalization programs everywhere. You will get through this, but it will happen more easily if you allow yourself the better steps. Please, don't take the Christians who have all the answers in only scriptures. Tell them you are no different from a person with diabetes or a brain tumor. Do you hear those Christians telling those folks they are demon possessed and oppressed? Probably not. It is actually just ignorance understanding sickness and health. I also don't believe in the Health, Wealth and Prosperity teachings. But that is me. Give, but don't expect a material reward. Peace is our reward. Hang in there and know real help is available. Just write and I'll do everything in my power to find the help you need in your area.

God doesn't likes suicide?

:)

Therefore we have to put up for the world, no point being miserable about it.

God doesn't likes suicide?
You appear to have asked a question. Is there any confusion. I believe it is not our choice when we shall be born or when the sun rises and the moon is full or that Christ died for our sins. No, I'd say God doesn't like one of His to take their life into their own hands. Christ was the last sacrifice and the perfect lamb and the last Adam. However, if any person told me they were complicating harming themselves, then it is my moral obligation to step in and get the appropriate help. 1-800-suicide hotline.

That is sound scripture. I'd also like to add put on praise and worship music to listen to. Great to listen to when doing chores, too. You got your body moving and your ears filling up with joy.

"A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones." Proverbs 17:22

Not only does that refer to ourselves, i think, it refers to our attitudes towards others. I remember working with a guy who was a total downer. Complained about everything and everyone and it felt as though he was sucking the life out of me. Who want's to be around a person like that? I dont.

Yeah, well it's hard to not be freaking depressed when my friend's worst problem is thinking marrying their freaking girlfriends. While I'm freaking worried stuff like this...

Can I get hiv this way?

Okay so a couple weeks ago. I was peeing at a friends house, and a little bit got on the toilet seat. So I took a some toilet paper to wipe it off. But it looked like there was some blood or something red on the toilet seat, not my own. I'm not sure if the blood or what ever it was dry or not. I might have had a cut on the area or not, but I don't remember. Anyway, I'm worried. And the freaking site that I posted the original question is freaking down so I can't go back and freaking check. anyway, Could the small bit of blood gone though the toilet paper and gotten into a cut if there was one and get hiv from it? The red spot was only .25 to .5 in in diameter.
