Exo 34:6 And Jehovah passed by before him and proclaimed, Jehovah! Jehovah God, merciful and gracious, long-suffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, Exo 34:7 keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of fathers on the sons, and on the sons of sons, to the third and to the fourth generation. Neh 9:17 And they refused to obey, neither were they mindful of Your wonders which You did among them. But they hardened their necks, and in their rebellion appointed a captain to return to their bondage. But You are a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and did not forsake them. Psa 103:8 Jehovah is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and rich in mercy. Psa 103:9 He will not always chasten, nor will He keep His anger forever. Psa 103:10 He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. Psa 145:8 Jehovah is gracious and full of pity; slow to anger, and of great mercy. Psa 145:9 Jehovah is good to all; and His tender mercies are over all His works. Pro 14:29He who is slow to wrath is of great understanding, but he who is hasty of spirit exalts folly. Pro 16:32 He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit is better than he who takes a city. Joe 2:13 Yes, tear your heart and not your robes, and turn to Jehovah your God: for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and He pities because of the evil. Jon 4:2 And he prayed to Jehovah and said, Please, O Jehovah, was this not my saying when I was still in my land? On account of this I fled before to Tarshish. For I knew that You are a gracious God, and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and One who repents over calamity. Nah 1:3 Jehovah is slow to anger, and great in power. And He does not by any means acquit the guilty. Jehovah has His way in the tempest and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of His feet. Jas 1:19 Therefore, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath. Psa 78:38 But He, full of pity, forgave their iniquity, and did not destroy them; yea, many times He turned His anger away, and did not stir up all His wrath. Psa 78:39 For He remembered that they were but flesh, a wind that passes away and does not come again. Luk 7:42 And they having nothing to pay, he freely forgave both. Then which of them do you say will love him most? Luk 7:43 And answering, Simon said, I suppose that one to whom he forgave most. And He said to him, You have judged rightly. Psa 85:2 You have forgiven the iniquity of Your people; You have covered all their sins. Selah. Psa 85:3 You have taken away all Your wrath; You have turned from the heat of Your anger. Rom 4:7saying, "Blessed are those whose lawlessnesses are forgiven, and whose sins are covered; Rom 4:8 blessed is the man to whom the Lord will in no way impute sin." Luk 1:76 And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Highest, for you shall go before the face of the Lord to prepare His ways, Luk 1:77 to give knowledge of salvation to His people by the remission of their sins, Luk 1:78 through the tender mercy of our God; by which the Dayspring from on high has visited us, Luk 1:79 to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace. |

Jehovah is the name of God I believe. The , mangled english version of Yahweh, Yahweh is probably closest to how the unpronouncable name of God would sound.

Jehovah's Witnesses have built an entire heretical church on this mangled term for God. Just thought this point should be recognized. |
