HA! take that bible discussion forum not so many threads to scare away ppl now huh?
So basically the idea is to post encouraging sayings words scriptures even songs and videos.

I don't remember the exact verse, but I always remember "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me," and "Greater is He who is in me than he that is in the world."

One response in 37 views. How disheartening.

There are so many uplifting verses in Scripture it is difficult to list them. When it comes down to it, my favorite Scripture is Matthew 11:28-30. For me it sums up God's love for us. His arms are wide open to us. :)

When times are tough I tell God, "Lord, into Your hands, I commit my spirit." Psalm 31.5

One of my personal favorites is Jeremiah 29:11 it's justa friendly reminder that God is holding us and He is in control so we don't need to have any worries or doubts. It's a waste of our time :):

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

You know this is always an encouragement to me. When I am down and out when I am broken beaten sad hurt and alone I always seem to imagine being in his arms. I imagine the warmth and love the understanding of my pain and sadness to the point where he himself has tears. He isn't simply simply encouraging me isn't simply making me strong he is right there with me feeling and knowing and concerned about all I am feeling inside.

This is one of the rare times where i feel he and I are one heart one mind one soul, no longer Blain and Jesus but somehow one being

A couple of favorite Scripture passages on perspective:

“Come, all you who are thirsty,
come to the waters;
and you who have no money,
come, buy and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk
