Hey, I'm just trying to get ten or more people to answer to see if someone's assessment is accurate. I was just surprised by the assessment, so thought I'd ask.

Hmmm, interesting. You spoke of the commandments of the bible that we should be following. Well, you seem to be looking for failure because the number you are looking for in the Old Testament is not the same as the number in the New Testament. If you would have asked how many commandments Jesus said we should be following, you would have made the teaching of the bible much more enjoyable.

Gee, I also thought people would just answer, instead of telling me why I won't get any answers in their ANSWERS. lol

(I also thought this was an easy question. Go figure.)

28 Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?”

29 Jesus answered,The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.” (from Jn. 6)

23 And this is his commandment,
that we believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one another, just as he has commanded us. 24 Whoever keeps his commandments abides in God, and God in him. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit whom he has given us. (from 1 Jn. 3)

Love fulfills all the commandments every single one that he has called us to follow.

The 10 commandments that God wrote with His own finger on stone at Mt Sinai which later were placed in the Ark of the Covenant are the rules of God's government. When Jesus instructed to love the Lord with all your heart and your neighbor as yourself He was speaking of the 10 as the first 4 show love and loyalty to God and the last 6 show love toward mankind.

If everyone in the world practiced the principles of these 10 the world would be a much better place to live.

These 10 won't save you, but when you truly repent and with the Holy Spirits help these laws are written on your heart and out of love for the great sacrifice that Jesus made for us it is the fruit of obedience that shows up in your life. Jesus did for us what we could and can not do for ourselves.

Jesus is our Savior, however, the 10 are still the rules of God's government because if we didn't have them we would not know what sin is.

This was what I expected all the answers to look like.

Go figure! He was right. There are as many answers to that question as there are Christians. I didn't know that. I would have gone with "All of them, and doable, but only through Jesus who works in us."

4 for the Christian.....

1 Do not grieve the Spirit.
2, Do not quench the Spirit.
3. Be filled with the Spirit.
4. Walk in the Spirit.

This is the Christian way of life and we will be in the Lords will if we are following this plan.

The ten of course:

Love the Lord with all your heart

Love the Lord with all your soul

Love the Lord with all your mind

Love the Lord with all your strength

Love the European as you love yourself

Love the African as you love yourself

Love the Asian as you love yourself

Love the Middle Easterner as you love yourself

Love the Oceanian as you love yourself

Oh yes and love the American (North and South) as you love yourself.

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.
And what does the LORD require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

walk humbly with your God.
(Micah 6:8)

cool! .... no one walking WITH God can sin. (breaking any commandment IS sin, and more of course, but at least...)
