Do you believe you can die in unrepentant sin (Such as lying, looking upon women lustfully, and hating, etc) and still be saved?

Please back up what you say with Scripture on this issue.

Thank you.
And may God bless you all.

I believe that God, in His mercy, will strive with us and give us time to repent. If we choose to harden our hearts against such strivings, then I don't see it turning out well. One scriptural example of what I'm talking about is found in Revelation chapter 2 verses 20 thru 23:

Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.
Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.

Scenario... My wife and my self go to church but as wiith all children of God she has a problem loving everyone. I have an old acquaintence who don't go to church and his beliefs are abit wishywashy. Anyway my wife don't like this person and he was in the hospital and so I lied to my wife and told her I was going to the store instead of telling her the truth that I was going to the hospital to visit him. On the way to the hospital I was run down dead by a car. There was nno time for me to ask to be forgiven for anything.
Did I make it too heaven? Sure did. Why? Because who so ever believeth in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Jason, seriously how many times do we have to go around this merry go round?

Yes you will still be saved...
God created man knowing full well that we will sin. If He was that harsh to be unforgiving of our unforgiven sins then we would all be on our way to hell.

Believers in Christ are new creations

2 Corinthians 5:17
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

Galatians 5:22–23
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

Romans 6:5-7
5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.

When you die and leave this world, it is guaranteed that you will leave without repenting of all your sins.

NOTE: Sin is not only doing the things you ought not to do, but failing to do the things you ought to do.

Do you love God perfectly that day??
Do you obey God perfectly that day??
Do you read Gods Word fully that day??

Often we repent of the sins we are aware of, but hidden in our humanistic and habitual human nature are a multitude of sins that we aren't even aware of.

Answer: Yes, you can die in unrepentant sin and still be saved.
In fact I know that when I die there are going to be sins that I never repented of. That's why my security and assurance is not in my repentance. lol Its in Christ who forgives me even when there are days I do sin and am not aware of it.

Apparently some folks here do not understand that there are sins that lead unto death and there are sins that do not lead unto death (See 1 John 5:16-18). Sins that do not lead unto death would be hidden or secret faults (Psalm 19:12). This would be the type of sins like say going over the speed limit a little or not taking out the trash last week (like you were supposed to). For he to knoweth to do good and he does it not, to him it is sin. For he to knoweth to do good and he does it not, to him it is sin (James 4:17). Sins unto death would also be confessed sin, too. Sins that would lead unto death are those types of sins Paul lists several times in the New Testament that will cause a person not to inherit the KIngdom of God (Galatians 5:19-21) (1 Corinthians 6:9-10) (Ephesians 3:3-7). These are really bad unrepentant sins such as lying, hating, murdering, committing fornication, stealing, and drunkenness, etc. John says in Revelation 21:8 that these types of sins will lead unto the Second DEATH, which is the Lake of Fire. Paul says to the brethen, be not deceived, the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Then he lists certain sins that apply to that unrighteousness. One can only be deceived if you are a believer. An unbeliever is already deceived by the devil and sin because they do not have Jesus Christ.

Amen to this, Ella. Jason gets his backside handed to him in a different thread regarding the same issue so he starts another thread thinking this one will be different.

More graceless, delusional narcissism at its finest.

Revelation 21:8 says ALL liars will have their part in the lake of fire. It does not make a rule of exception here.

For if you make an excuse for thinking God will forgive you for lying, then why not for other sins that are even worse (Like say: Chopping people up into bits and eating them, or hurting or abusing children, or committing suicide)? What makes you think God will cover willful sin or open rebellion? For the Scriptures say, "For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins," (Hebrews 10:26); And God says in Hebrews 10:38, "Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him."

I voted no, but that's based on the sin that is not being repented of being serious.

You'd kick Jesus into the lake of fire if you could.

For me, the question would be: If a believer is aware that they have sinned, no matter the sin, why would they not repent of it?

What would it take? About 5 seconds or so?

Willful sin is different than oopsies sin in my opinion, but both should be repented of.

Why continue to ask people here who goes to Heaven and who goes to hell?

Why continue to delegate to people here the power reserved for Him?

Give it a rest, seriously. Have you ever considered posting comments that actually were designed to edify the Church rather than to describe situational condemnation?

I presume that God has retired and that Jason and Seabass have taken His place?

No one can carry a single sin into heaven.

Acts 5:1-11. Ananias and Sapphira lied.
The case of Ananias and Sapphire shows:
1) God is not a God of love and nothing more, but a God of justice and God will punish men.
2) God does not overlook or excuse sin.
3) grace does not automatically, unconditionally cover sin.
