Most preachers go off the rails, some without realising, some they know but cant stop,, some by accident, but rather judge them, pray for them, in hope they see sense and hope they turn to God themselves.
So we shouldn't say anything, as Christians, if there is evil going on in the church, keep our mouths shut, quietly and timidly pray the abuses will end, and we are to have no judgement in these matters? When people are made merchandise of and lies are taught, we're not to judge? Could you support that with scripture, please?

Does this mean you won't be sending me cattle too? (And, whew! Thanks! If you don't. lol)

On a more serious note, Christians are to judge. If not us, then who, until God does final judging?
1. Cor. 6:1 When one of you has a grievance against another, does he dare go to law before the unrighteous instead of the saints?2 Or do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is to be judged by you, are you incompetent to try trivial cases?3 Do you not know that we are to judge angels? How much more, then, matters pertaining to this life!4 So if you have such cases, why do you lay them before those who have no standing in the church?5 I say this to your shame. Can it be that there is no one among you wise enough to settle a dispute between the brothers,6 but brother goes to law against brother, and that before unbelievers?7 To have lawsuits at all with one another is already a defeat for you. Why not rather suffer wrong? Why not rather be defrauded?8 But you yourselves wrong and defraud—even your own brothers!9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous[b] will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, 10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
Are we supposed to sit back and just let these conman cheat people out of their money in the name of the Lord?

What's the difference between what you just did and what this thread is about -- other than Creflo Dollar IS a scammer?

I do get a kick out of how people judge others for judging without noticing the obvious. (I saw a flaw in the Joyce Meyer's post, but didn't think it was my place to judge that one. What criteria do you use to decide when you should judge brothers?)
I have chickens. Maybe I need a cow too.

Stanley? Ok, 1 out of 7 not too good.
I was wondering if he went to church. TV is not church, no body life.. God told us to assemble together, not assemble in front of a tube.

Threads like these and the latest Joyce Meyer one makes the morale in this place drop right through the floor. People getting off on their opinions of others, it's really saddening.
so false teachers should not be exposed? I think Jesus and Paul did this alot.. did they not tell us to follow them?

If so, then a lot of scripture would have to be removed going to pointing out and rebuking lies, nipping it in the bud, if necessary even ejecting people from the congregation, etc. The "judge not" straw man, which actually has to do with unrighteous judgement, is a ruse used to try and stifle dissent against evil. The Bible never says we are to have no judgement. You'd think, the way some people talk, we're not to even be discerning good and evil. The devil would like that! (And all his sock puppets, scamming and perverting truth.)

2 John 1:10-11 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

Would there be some statement here about financing liars and con artists? If a "minister" is a wolf in sheep's clothing, is financing them good, or evil? Who are you serving, when you're looking to "enjoying everyday life" and many fold returns, the Lord, or yourself, His spiritual kingdom, or your carnal consumption?

So, I take it you would consider consistently being con artists a problem? As to the OP, for those supporting the likes of Joyce Meyer and Creflo Dollar, could you please provide an analysis of how much of their mansions with swimming pools for Jesus and the like came from hawking their wares and hitting the public up for money on television, as opposed to naming it and claiming it sources, or many fold returns out of nowhere? If they're telling the truth, it would have to be the case that sticking their fingers in peoples' pockets would be a paltry source of income, right? Then, they could just leave TV and grow their "ministries" to huge proportions, right? So why don't they?
creflo a crook?? most likely. joyce?? maybe. on a side note, I heard a pastor tell how one time he asked one of the " sow a seed" people on trinity network to give him a $1000 because hey, if you so a seed of $100 and get a $1000, so you this seed in my ministry and get $10000 for yourself. the pastor said he got a blank stare and angry words in return. so much for seeds huh??

There are many shut-ins, severely handicapped and very elderly, whom this is their church. The likes of Charles Stanley is their minister, would there were more such faithful ministers of the word of God.

The very concept one is going to use some Bible concept, with the goal of carnal enrichment, is ludicrous. You'd think a Christian would know better, to try to make the Lord their piggy bank, what, force His hand to provide you that Bentley? Has nothing to do with spirituality.

James 4:3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

there is a difference, the elderly and handicapped (who still should have the body of christ to come to them and get them either way) would not have money to give, thus the ones watching should be the ones who need the money, not give it, so these so called teachers of God are flawed anyway, they should teach the young and wealthy to get of their back sides, and get to church, not watch them and give them lots of money

I guess it serves those who fall into this gargage right for getting conned, they should have been in church to begin with.

My opinion.

I do go to church. I'm learning the word of God. And if someone can't get out, or the elderly can't get out, I say that these guys are a saving grace. It helps people get closer to God. Not Creflo though. I remember he took a month long hiatus to supposedly regroup. For what? Idk. I don't care anymore.

In my grandpas later years, the hi light of his day was going to the mailbox to get his publishers clearing house mail. He really thought that the people in the van were gonna pull up any day and give him his 10 million dollar check. It got so bad he was buying magazines he didn't need nor could he afford. If I would have ran into Ed Mcmahon back then, I might have punched him in the face.

You are out of touch with the bedridden and those who are feeble and in danger of serious accidents, just walking.

Agree, entirely, have known many where this is the case. I'm mortified to watch some elderly walk, even with cane or walker, one slip which could have very bad consequences. I've no problem whatsoever with media ministries, more radio, but I've heard great preaching and teaching over the airwaves that helped me grow, a lot. To me, the issue is the fake ministries, not faithful ones, reaching the world with Spirit-filled, gospel truth: we need more of this!

yes, we have those people. I sometimes listen to dr jeremiah when I can;t get out. But I would not consider it my church to give money too and support.. I have my own church to support..

we have them here, a place called world harvest, and a man called rod parsley as pastor. He is very rich, owns a mansion, drives expensive cars and (I can go on and on) He even sends out prayer cards, he says if you give so much money a certain amount of prayers will be answered (I wish I could get my hands on one I would post it) He is another evil. Not sure he is on TV though so they are everywhere. This guy is so bad the state of Ohio is trying to get him for tax fraud, I wish they would and he would be held accountable, using the name of Jesus to get wealthy is a sin of high order in my view.

yet I must remember, vengence is mine sayeth the Lord. I must just expose the falsity, and let God handle it.

I have seen them too. Their kids wheel them into church, and they sing and praise God and are thankful they are not forgotten and left at home.

There are times when this can not happen, thats why I said the church needs to go to them, we should not hold body life from anyone, period.
