Yup, quite the show. Too bad it was never a revival.

Well, there never HAS been a "revival". Not even from the days of Jesus. I would call these things, more "revivals of our own hearts." Why? Because we have often let our hearts go almost entirely dead.

I have often wondered why we just don't follow the example set by Jesus when we preach/teach the Word.
Jesus sat and others gathered around Him and learned.
Why do we have to put on a show that oftens appeals more to the flesh than the spirit.

Did you enjoy the teaching at our building this week? No? Why not? We had it. But, then, I didn't hear a thing about what went on at your building, either.

Did you ever notice that people were aware Jesus was coming, or was going through the area, and flocked to see "the show"? They were probably pretty hyped-up for it for quite some time before He "sat down.".......... and they didn't even have the media we have.

This is a blattant lie.

I packed up my family, lost nearly all my possession ,just to get my children there. Before we moved, the kids would not worship or participate ,as if they were in their own private boycott.

At the revival, they all got radically saved, water baptised, attended every youth activity, and today, all but 1 are serving the Lord, with their hearts permanently centered on Jesus, knowing his power and wonderful presesnce.

So many got saved. It took my breath away, night after night,as Steve gave the alter call, they would RUN to the alter and pour their hearts out to God. There were not even enough workers to minister to the babes in the following moments of their new conversions.

I saw a demon infested witch swoop onto Steve one night. Chanting and spewing curses at him. Steve listened to her then very camly told her "honney, that don't work in this place". Steve reached out to her forehead to touch her,and said "get her jesus"..she went flying backwards before he even touched her. THE VERY NEXT NIGHT,my friend said "you know who that girl is?".....that is the witch".

I got to see her saved, set free, completely transformed in her countenence.

I will never, ever forget the feast from heaven....THE BROWNSVILLE REVIVAL

Simple. God didn't get THEIR approval to move that way. God should know better.... According to many people, He is required to only do things they have put THEIR blessings upon.

Yeah, and they were shouting "Crucify Him" the next week. Some revival.

This is one of those subjects that always starts a brawl. Could we avoid that this time, perhaps? Perhaps those of us from the "A" viewpoint could just let those from the "B" viewpoint just have their discussion and leave them alone? Reasonable?

Well, I don't recall anyone calling you names because you can't accept the move of the Spirit, so I would say the ball is in your court... as usual. What it always seems to come down to is if you feel like attacking or not.

Oh,brother,thank you so much.

There seems to be a new stirring. I am ready to do it again.

Hope to still have the courage to break camp and dive into the unknown.

We lived in a 5th wheel trailer for 6 years. But my business slowly grew. Then one year I made over 100k. It seemed like millions to me. We moved into a big house, and it was awesome after the trailer. By then the revival was over. The arm of the flesh got into the leadership, and Steve ran for his life to Dallas. The pastor left the church with millions of debt .But he was rich. Hard to believe he could drop the ball, but every revival ends with man.

38 And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought:
39 But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.
40 And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.
41 And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.
42 And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.

Wasn't the Brownsville Revival, the Toronto Blessing, the Lakeland whatever and all the others part of the same 'movement'?

And look. I made my point without using all caps or expecting that everyone has to accept my way or they need to 'examine their heart'.
Looks to me as if the only mocking being done was by the congregation itself.
