The guy with the big hat is the Pope, and the four guys in the last panel are the Ghostbusters.

I believe that the "church" has already sucked up the Holy Spirit by making it a benign force in the body. The denominational differences, ideologies, traditions and general disbelief have relegated the Holy Spirit to a post salvation non-functionary. Where is the power that we are promised?

The body of Christ is in desperate need of a power influx from the Holy Spirit.

How does the church go about receiving that flux of power?

By stopping their grieving of the Holy Spirit. Anyone who knows His heart knows just how grieved He is. If He is acknowledged at all, it is as a draw to bring people in, to add to the show. "Let's see what new thing the Holy Spirit will do today."

You're describing him like a tail we no longer need.....

I thought the Holy Spirit is God? What can human tradition do to quench the Spirit?

God is bigger than your description of Him.
