when does physical/spiritual life begin? who creates it?

what is our soul and where was it before we were born onto earth?

i think,IMO physical life begins at conception, this is created by our mom and dad, it is not complete until we have a soul and that comes from our Heavenly Father. we get our soul when we breath our first breath, they way Adam did.
Jeremiah 1:5
When I had not yet formed you in the womb, I knew you, and when you had not yet emerged from the womb, I had appointed you; a prophet to the nations I made you.

our Lord knew us before we were born, but also before we were even formed in the womb. IMO this is our soul and i think this is who we really are. not our earthly bodies. i think this is why the bible puts so much emphasis on the flesh and for us not to put so much focus into dwelling about it as its only a temporary body.

so where was our soul before we were born into this physical world? i think somewhere else but have no idea where, but so fascinating.

Well John the baptist leaped inside his mothers womb when mary stood next to her. Surely a baby who has no soul wouldn't be so excited to be next to his Lord and savior. I agree about the flesh and soul thing. Ever since I became close to God I see myself in the mirror and I don't recognize myself it's like I am looking at a stranger in the mirror and I think to myself this isn't what I really look like as if I know withing myself that this flesh face of mine is not really me.

Also I would have to imagine we were with God before we were born, I have said to him before there is something familiar about him as if I had known him before

Conception creates it. God created it. Through pro-creators

when does physical/spiritual life begin? who creates it?
You and I were born with a spirit. Made to be filled with God, united with God,
1 Cor 6:17; Jn 3:6

what is our soul and where was it before we were born onto earth?
Like out body and spirit: it wasn't.
Until we were conceived. 'Born in our mother,' as it were.
Our soul is...............us. Our personality. It is the medium between body and spirit.
Created, in Adam's case, when the other two met. Genesis 2:7.
But of course our soul is made to follow our spirit.

I should've read that first! I think I agree. Or at least real close. lol

Like in Adam (and Eve)'s case: I think it was nowhere, it wasn't.
That's what it means to be created: we have a beginning

Your going to get a pounding! But I am with you. Soul life begins at the first breath. biological life begins at conception. The baby is an extension of the mothers life. From the womb........It is Gods life.

A body you have prepared for Me........

It's interesting also. The very first breath we take at birth is the deepest breath that we will ever take and that first breath is never truly exhaled until we die. We use 100% of our lungs in that first inhale, and never after that until we die.

u think its possible that when John was in the womb his soul could have been in the Heavens, yet connected with the infant spiritually? the birth in its self seems to have a special significance, a beautiful event, it just feels like the moment when flesh and soul join but that my opinion, they could very much be joined b4 the birth.

Also I would have to imagine we were with God before we were born, I have said to him before there is something familiar about him as if I had known him before
i feel like that a lot, there is something in my that knows i was somewhere before i was born onto earth, not so much like a past life here but just somewhere else. hard to describe.

i agree, our souls is our personality, the real us. our love, compassion, humility, etc comes from this, this is why our love, compassion, etc can continue to grow as our body grows old and breaks down IMO

you dont think created could mean only of our physical bodies? as in the earth, trees, animals? our souls are not of the earth. but you may be right

I think they are of the earth. As well as of the breath of God. Based on Gen 2:7. And 1 Cor 15:45.
Our souls are designed by God. Gen 1:26. We're made both 'in His image,' and 'after Their likeness.'
Inwardly, our soul; and, in some way, outwardly, after His likeness.

No I don't think his soul was in heaven while he was in his mothers womb, not only was he born with the holy spirit but a soul has to be inside a person to be alive. Ever notice how when we die our souls are gone? Unless of course you believe our souls remain inside our rotting corpses then I suppose you could say different

i agree but what you call soul life is what i call physical/soul life. when our body dies we return to soul life.

thank you for sharing, that is really interesting info. im about to read more about it

The bible says that even in the womb John was filled with the holy spirit. And I am saying when we die our souls leave the body as to where they go I don't know. the body cannot be alive without a soul but the soul doesn't need a body to live

the holy spirit in the womb would be our Lord forming us before birth right? like in the Jer passage. but would that be the moment that soul and earthly body meet? im not so sure but im wrong about many things.
i agree about the soul, it can live without the body, i think we need the body to live in the earthly world not the spiritual world.

When God breathed into Adam' nostrils the breath of life, it was not air, it was the battery so-to-speak- it was actual life. Air keeps us alive, as well as other things, but it does not give us life. The bible says the life is IN the blood. Again, although blood keeps us alive, blood, air, food, or etc does not create a soul.

We are not eternal as God, having no beginning. Our souls will now exist forever, but we had a beginning. I believe our beginning is in the womb. One thing is certain, we have a soul before we breathe our first breath of air. I think it is because God knows the future, that He said He knew him before he formed him. He knew what his personality would be. He knew that he would obey God. That's why He planned to appoint him before he was even formed.

Although God knows everything, including future-tense, He created our souls. We have a beginning. And when someone gets an abortion- that's murder.
