Are you angry as in righteous indignation? Do you hurt for these people, realizing God has so much more for them (the homosexuals)? Are you coming from a place of love and grace, extending the grace that God has given you to them? When you see a homosexual do you see condemned, or do you see a person Jesus died for, and that that person's issue isn't so much their sins but their particular sin of disbelief in Jesus Christ that took their sins away?

I see that you are frustrated with the condoning of sin, but what should more be on your mind is that people are so sin conscious that they aren't looking at Jesus. They aren't beholding Him and being transformed. Remember, we grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. Their sin was dealt with at the cross, they only need to sign the check. They are forgiven, but aren't aware of that yet, they need to accept that forgiveness, just as you need to cash a check to receive finances. No, that is not universal-ism, they aren't forgiven until they believe in the Lord. Thats why we share the Gospel, otherwise if everyone was saved, we wouldn't need to preach at all.

I guess my point is the gift of no condemnation. A revelation of that, of God's goodness, is what leads men to repentance, and so I hope your anger is coming from the right place and not one of condemnation but rather a hurting for these people knowing God loves them and wants so much more for them.
No Bro. I don't hate them. It is annoying that I found mainly ebooks that says homosexuality is not a sin,I am worried about the future when kids of Christian parents searching for books to read about what Bible says about homosexuality and ending up with trash. That will lead them astray.

There are many reasons as to why so called Christians do this, the fact that they want to be accepted is a strong motive for such a thing, if they can be accepted by the majority of ppl their books sell well and they get money plus they are seen as holy people. I don't know for sure if they see or know the damage they are doing to ppl who are either young in faith or simply do not know better but this was prophesied to happened
AMEN! Exactly what I thought. -_- Cannot say it better than this.

Not surprising but irritating that true Christian people don't write what Bible says. The fake ones are writing books twisting the gospel. More Christians should write books so that the youngster will have something to read when they search for it. I am shocked as not many are writing against it.
Thing is, today most young people don't read books, they're too preoccupied with social media where they have a steady diet of wrong headed notions.

If I ever said "Homosexuality is OK", I would said that to GET PPL in "my" church (1), to make it grow (2), to drag more money into my pocket (3), to know who were lesbians (4), to see who had indulged in several types of sexual deviations (5), to exploit them emotionally (sexually) and economically (6)

Each time you´ve heard a "preacher" like that, his "gospel" is a bad news, NOT THE GOSPEL of the Lord Jesus.

I do know "preachers" who prey on ppl lives and, economically and sexually exploted their followers so, I´m against THEM, as also Jesus Christ is against those who have lied on ppl´s weakness (however, sexual sins ARE NOT above all OUR transgression).

All sins are sins!

AMEN! Yep! Yep! Yep for all of it!

I couldnt understand the big company I worked for.
People get a write up if they offended gay people...but no big deal if someone offended a Christian

Thats just sooo wrong

in order to get mad enough people will need a good dose of God's Word as well, otherwise they'll get sucked into the black hole of 'tolerance at any cost'.

Again individual revival, if we stop being so distracted by the world around us and focus ob God's word, we'd all be closer to Him, which would changed hearts and minds

So much coverage......such a small percentage of people who actually live that lifestyle.
At least here on CC, it's a place where we can escape all that talk on homosexuality thats all over the place at the moment.

........Wait a minute?

While there may be some shady pastors the vast majority are not that way. Homosexuality is called an abomination in the Bible,Id say its very serious.
I agree completely. Very serious. However, if you study the scriptures, there is no place in the local body for salaries. Acts 20 Paul tells the leaders to work secular jobs so they can take care of the poor. If a man is feeding off the sheep, he is a hireling who cares not for the sheep, or he wouldn't be charging for the gospel.

Usually I'd agree with such, but don't be such a stuffed shirt. It's just become the supreme law of the land, freshly so, I mean, like Sodom back in the news, after thousands of years, zombies rising. Homosexuality: it's what's for dinner!

Folks, you know what a big silver lining there is in all of this? This homo "marriage" business is a dividing line, like the knob on a pair of binoculars, bringing into focus who's who, if there were ever any doubt, previously. It's bottom line clear no Spirit-filled child of God will sign up for this agenda, preach this agenda, legislate this agenda. Many have shown who they serve, and it's very good to know who God's enemies are! It's a line drawn in the sand.

They want to be accepted ...and.....they want their cause to be recognized .
We may not accept their lifestyle, but we sure do give their cause a lot of recognition.

As Jesus states in Luke 17:25
It will happen. Its gonna happen.

Well their cause just trampled on God's Word by redefining marriage...big mistake.

Paul is not saying in Acts that pastors should not be paid. Not to derail the thread...

I have not coveted anyone’s silver or gold or clothing. 34 You yourselves know that these hands of mine have supplied my own needs and the needs of my companions. In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive."

There is not command there not to pay a pastor or that a pastor should work for a living.Paul is saying what he has done, not making a commandment.

[h=1]1 Timothy 5:17-18King James Version (KJV)17 Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.18 For the scripture saith, thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward.[/h]

1 Cor. 9:3-18, ...My defense to those who examine me is this: 4 Do we not have a right to eat and drink? 5 Do we not have a right to take along a believing wife, even as the rest of the apostles, and the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas? 6 Or do only Barnabas and I not have a right to refrain from working? 7 Who at any time serves as a soldier at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard, and does not eat the fruit of it? Or who tends a flock and does not use the milk of the flock? 8 I am not speaking these things according to human judgment, am I? Or does not the Law also say these things? 9 For it is written in the Law of Moses, “You shall not muzzle the ox while he is threshing.” God is not concerned about oxen, is He? 10 Or is He speaking altogether for our sake? Yes, for our sake it was written, because the plowman ought to plow in hope, and the thresher to thresh in hope of sharing the crops. 11 If we sowed spiritual things in you, is it too much if we should reap material things from you? 12 If others share the right over you, do we not more? Nevertheless, we did not use this right, but we endure all things, that we may cause no hindrance to the gospel of Christ. 13 Do you not know that those who perform sacred services eat the food of the temple, and those who attend regularly to the altar have their share with the altar? 14 So also the Lord directed those who proclaim the gospel to get their living from the gospel.

I traveled in the ministry for 20yrs. Without the support of the church we would not have been able to continue. Yes the gospel is free but getting it to people is not unless you have no church at all and meet in a farmers field.I dont want my pastor focused on a worldly job, I want them focused on growing the church by reaching out to the community and to be available to anyone who needs him. I had a family tragedy several years ago and needed prayer.Called the church,no one there.Called the pastor and wife at home and on cells no answer. I went to the church and the janitor and his wife were there and prayed with us. No,I want my pastor focused on Gods work and he should be paid to do so.

That's a fact. Nothing surprising going on here, if you subscribe to Bible teachings on the approaching end times, the homosexuality aspects of an approaching dire falling away right there in scripture, times as Noah or Lot. Again, I'm glad that, at least, some lines are being drawn. It may help people see who's who, even bring many closer to the Lord, to see and learn to reject the false, see who their friends are, or aren't, get serious and decide who they will serve.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
