I think it is a/b, a+b/b. (Probably not) But, anyhoo, the factor is 1.618, as I recall.

It's interesting that we depict it this way when I believe the Bible says the rings are to be on the SIDES. That would have the poles running front to back ... long ways, like a regular carrier for Royalty. (unless what appears to be the side is actually the front)

Wow, this is getting to be some excellent info on the topic. Have to laugh at the Valentine idea of Cherubins with baby bodies and little wings and arrows. Makes you wonder where they got the idea. These angels were far from cute.

I always pictured the cherubim as much larger, covering the person who sits on the mercy seat.

I don't know why all the renderings are of these small cherubim, like a decoration instead of a symbol...

Well first the Nazis had it. Then Indiana Jones was able to get it away from them and now it is in a storage unit on the East Coast somewhere.

"Approximately 20 feet below the place where Jesus was crucified..." ;)

Ark Of The Covenant FOUND!

Only GOD could arrange it so that the actual blood of Jesus would be "sprinkled" onto the actual Mercy Seat of the actual Ark Of The Covenant while He was yet on the cross. The significance of this is absolutely enormously awesome...

Research: "Ron Wyatt" and "Ark Of The Covenant"

Stored... forgotten... and that's maybe for the best.

The earthly ark of the covenant was based upon the pattern of the heavenly ark of the covenant and that one is apparently still in heaven:

Revelation chapter 11 verse 19

And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.

The temple in heaven is also called the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in that God referred to what was placed within the earthly ark of the covenant which, again, was based upon the true ark of the covenant in heaven as the testimony:

Revelation chapter 15 verse 5

And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened:

Exodus chapter 25 verse 16

And thou shalt put into the ark the testimony which I shall give thee.

Wherever the earthly ark of the covenant is, I suspect that it will show up in the last days and that it will be a part of a rebuilt Jewish temple in and about where temple sacrifice will be restored prior to the return of Christ as Israel's final affront towards God in their rejection of Christ and His atoning sacrifice.
