Satan was cast out of heaven to earth right after Jesus was caught up to heaven, and has been deceiving the inhabitants of the earth ever since. Satan will not be bound until after Jesus Christ returns again...

Revelation 20:1-3 "And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.[SUP]2 [/SUP]And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
[SUP]3 [/SUP]And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

However, the last Biblical account of Satan possessing anyone was at Jesus' last supper...

And after the morsel, then Satan entered into that one. Then Jesus said to him, What you do, do quickly. (John 13.27)

If Satan was not already bound, then why has he not possessed anyone since that time...?

That verse lacks the Greek article preceding diabolos, so there is no certainty that this refers to the 'The Devil', himself.

Whosoever commits sin is of the Devil. The Devil is the prince of this world, his spirit works in this evil world and in all his children.

Ephesians 2:2
Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

Satan being bound at Jesus' crucifixion...

Now is the judgment of this world; now the ruler of this world shall be cast out. And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, I will draw all to Myself. But He said this, signifying by what kind of death He was about to die. (John 12.31 - 33)

Yeah Ok....keep believing that the context doesn't make it clear....Jesus even said that Satan wished to sift Peter like Wheat and even Jesus was tempted by the devil......there is sufficient evidence and context to prove that the devil is in the world influencing right now and is not and will not be bound until the 1000 year reign.....!

Those events occurred BEFORE Jesus' crucifixion.

Show us that the devil possessed someone AFTER the crucifixion...

Only the demons possessed people after the crucifixion.

Wrong.......man you need to put down the comic books......show us the devil possessed anyone before the crucifixion other than Judas...last time I checked we had names like LEGION and EVIL SPIRITS......look...after going thru this thread there has been more than enough evidence to prove you wrong...humble yourself and admit you off base and are wrong and swallow your pride!

11COR.4:1-2-3-4.
Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;

But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the Word of God
deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight
of God.

But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

In whom the 'god of this world has blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the Light of the
glorious gospel of Christ, Who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

11COR.2:11.
Lest satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

11COR. 11:14.
And no marvel; for satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

every house has a leader, and it is clear that satan was and is the leader of the household of darkness....

E:H.6:11.
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Like dcon said, he ain't bound, he's roaming. He will be bound in the Millenium a thousand years, after the thousand years are over he will be released for a time to deceive the nations once more.

Those would be demons...NOT The Devil himself.

Absolutely unscriptural.
Very true for he was bound whilst Jesus walked this earth. Matt 12.28-29. I would prefer to believe Jesus' view rather than the clever imaginations of chat members.

If Scripture appears to conflict with this we are misinterpreting Scripture.
