It would an easy thing, as a self righteous person, to pick all the good ones that put them in a good light so that others would speak well of them. Remember (1 Cor 13:3) ... Though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor and though I give my body to be burned (sacrificed) and have not charity (motivated by the love of God), it profits me nothing. Good works that we are to maintain are those that come from the Holy Spirit in the church and body of Christ as a ministry toward others bearing fruit unto life.

Okay. How about this. If we were to not tell people everyone here that they were a Christian and they were to view all people's behavior here (without them seeing the actual talk on the Bible or Biblical topics discussed except discussion on morality or the use of real world examples, could they tell you were Christian or had Christ living within you by your treatment of others here? Please take note that standing up for what is right cannot always be misconstrued as being hateful unless that person was making judgmental personal comments that would place them in knowing things about their life that they cannot possibly know.

Gee Jason - hahaha there might be a difference between how I'd like people to describe me n what they'd actually say.
I'd like them to say - when shes brave enough she stands up for things ... shes nice to people... shes gentle.... shes smart.. I hope they'd say this coz its who I wanna be

when you are invited, go and sit in the lowest place, so that when your host comes he may say to you,
‘Friend, move up higher.’
Then you will be honored in the presence of all who sit at table with you.
(Luke 14:10)

Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit,
but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.

Opinions of others often change. Right now even my dear wife is not thrilled with me because I want to purchase a motorcycle.

Yes.
But that's not always the case in what you believe describes a Christian? Right? Beyond mere profession of faith, they can also be unrecognizable from the people of the world and their dark ways? Yes?

No, it's not a trap, it is merely showing people the truth about what is right and what is wrong. For how on Earth do even know the good guys from the bad guys when you watch Star Wars?

Basic morality never changes. Selfish cold blood murder is always wrong. Sexual abuse is always wrong. hating other people with a pure white hot hatred is always wrong. Kicking someone down a flight of steps because you don't like them is always wrong. Dragging the Lord's name thru the mud by swearing with his name is always wrong.

So who are you accusing? Or is this self confession on your part?

Any farmer knows the more you stir the manure lagoon the more it stinks.

Tend to you own business and allow God to tend to His. There is enough strife in the world you need not add to it with vague open accusations against your fellow man.

I don't see it. While there are a very small few who appear to be nice here; They show approval to others who are not so nice by the fact that they "like" their posts.

I prefer to keep things vague so that people can be the judge themselves if they look objectively. But it is obvious in who is acting inappropriately.

"'Tis the prettiest little parlor that ever you did spy.
The way into my parlor is up a winding stair,
And I have many pretty things to show when you are there."
"O no, no," said the little fly, "To ask me is in vain,
For who goes up your winding stair can ne'er come down again."[/h]
