I was 9 yrs old, attending a local vacation bible school. On the last Friday, the pastor gave an open invitation for anyone who felt like JESUS needed to be in their life, to come forward and not be ashamed. I came forward, and accepted JESUS as my Savior in total child-like faith. I went home and started to read the old dusty family bible that all homes used to have sitting on the coffee table. Mom asked me what I was doing, so I told her. She talked with dad that night...by September of that year, mom, dad and I were baptised together. My parents became leaders in the church and soon, dad was called into the ministry and became a pastor. He is still pastoring! It would take a book to share the details of how dad became a pastor..the Supernatural events that occured..and how GOD brought my family to where each of us are in our walk today. In time, I will share as GOD leads.

As a little girl, I heard that you could just ask Jesus into your heart. And so He has always been there.

By trusting into the saving faith of Christ and acknowledging him as Lord and savior while confessing that I was/am a sinner......Jesus forgives, saves, justifies, sanctifies (positionally) and seals unto the day of redemption.....He saves to the uttermost and will lose nothing, but raise us in the last day! Whatsoever God does it is eternal...nothing added nor taken away and he does this that men may fear before him!

I went to Baptist Sunday School as a child, where I memorized many Bible verses. Then we moved to a neighbourhood without a Bible believing church in my teens. I ended up getting pulled into the occult, started drinking and doing drugs. Then I just stopped believing in God, because my life was such a mess.

I tried on my own to clean up my life, even went back to University and got straight A's. But something was still missing, and I was still drinking.

Meanwhile, there was a revival going on in the area where I lived. People were witnessing to me all the time. But there were all kinds of cults and ashrams, and I just couldn't believe the "simplistic" explanations that Jesus was the answer (and Saviour and Lord). So I went from atheism to agnosticism, because there had to be some kind of first cause, or being.

Well, that didn't work either. Then my future husband took me aside and told me about the need to repent, citing all the different people in the Bible that God forgave of their sins.

Jesus just reached down, and reminded me of John 3:16. I realized Jesus was my Saviour, and that Jesus was the Saviour of the world. I have been serving him for over 35 years, and I can only praise him that he chose me and loves me and will keep me till the end. Oh yes, and he delivered me from alcohol, too. Never had another drink, nor wanted one.

This is randomn I suppose.
But I must say
Something that always makes me cry....
Is how all that loved Jesus the day He was crucified for us

Several I am sure would have took Jesus place
But Jesus wouldnt let anyone
Even if they could have.

Praise You Jesus
Thank You for your love
Amen! Amen!

Oh btw my above post meant 'cute' is being saved!
Not 'cute' that Jesus died on the cross
You all know that
But strangers to the site may misunderstand

Just wondering what people's stories are...
I've told this story before.

My cousins and I went to see Jesus Christ Superstar playing at the UVA auditorium. I was Catholic, but that guy on stage really made me feel God was alive, so I thought, "God, I wish you'd make yourself as real to me as the guy on the stage."

And then it was over, we went home, most of the way home my aunt was finding out all the terrible things her sons did that day, so nothing happened but me listening to her yelling.

Went to bed. The next morning was my "Oh wow! You really are real" moment. Absolutely no idea what to do next but find a Bible, except we had school and a bus to catch.

On the bus, I was telling my friend about this cool thing, (God is really real), and she told me about this Bible Study she was going to before school. (Never knew that until that day.) Went. The guy (Jeff) was teaching the most fascinating book I've never heard of -- Jude -- so after the study, I asked the obvious question, "Now What?"

I was saved through a musical by a guy who never trusted that Christ he portrayed in a musical.

I accidentally stumbled into a church that was more interested in my salvation than they were in emptying my wallet.. I perceived this as a miracle at the time.

My daughter was saved through a skit that they did at the church I started taking her to. I think she referred to it as a human video. There were no words but the skit showed the lure and pull of the world and the Love of Christ for the Individual.

They would have never done that skit at the previous church we went to. But each one of us received something from all the different churches we attended. Interesting how that happens.

Atwhatcosts testimony reminded me of this...

I was saved by reading the Bible

sometimes however I question the early years as Christian was I really saved. Because I have gone much further in relationship with God than just Bible reading

God took a rebel, held up the mirror of His Law to show me how filthy I was, the shock of it brought me to my senses.

I repented and put my faith in Christ.

Done and done! :)
