I don’t know much about this, but I find it interesting. Apparently, because some of the accounts found in Matthew, Mark, and Luke or so similar, there are those that think these three Gospels all took material from a common source, known as the “Q Document.” Do you think there was a Q Document?

No. The Q document is not support outside academia. It is more likely that most of the gospel writers were aware of the well circulated book of Mark

The Q document is a hypothese, it is mainlythought by academia as the source that the Evangelist used in the Synoptic (Matthew,Mark,Luke) Gospels. For these Gospaels as they say see together (syn-together optic- too see), the theory goes that Mark was the first written and Matthew and luke used it as the base for their gospel accounts.

We know that there were other written accounts (now lost) that were circulating however these documents probably not full accounts. to say No as it not supported outside academia is not a particularly staightforward answer as many outside academia are not aware of the differences within the Synoptics and the fourth gospel nor do they really need to. Secondly it is only an Hypothese that is mainly held by most evangelical scholars.

If you read the accounts from Luke you will see that he gathered together different sources to write his gospel.

to put it in perspective it is only scholars trying to find out the sources of the text, critiscm of sorts. and it does not change anything to do with the inerrancy of the gospels.

I guess what I am trying to say that it is nothing to worry about, its more of an acedmic past time lol

Hope that helps.
