I have some questions about humor and Christian culture

1. Where is the line between appropriate humor and inappropriate humor

2. Christians seem to have their own brand of humor - do you find it funny?

3, Do you ever find yourself laughing at bad humor because it is clean?

4. Is humor that is not necessarily dirty or inappropriate, yet not edifying ever ok?

5. Where does 'family fun' fit in? I am thinking of Branson, or the Osmonds - do you find this funny or useful?

The reason I am asking is because there was this evangelist during the 80's named Mike Warnike - he ended up being a total fraud, but during the time he was fooling everyone, he billed himself as a Christian comedian. I remember going to one of his events and listening to him - I was about 10 - and thinking that he wasn't very funny - but noticing the intense laughter of the audience - I was a kid, but I still thought it was strange.

I love humor, as long as it does not demean, insult or get crude.
But to me laughter is like sunshine, it is the thing only second to the love of God that I long for.
More and more lately God Our Father has shown me his humor.
I am dazzled by how he can disapline me, humble me, correct me, make me laugh and love me all at the same moment.
How I hope I will do the same in him.
God bless, pickles

If its not dirty or making fun of people there is all kinds of things that are funny. We need to laugh. It is healing.

I think humour is in the eye or the ear of the beholder. I see the "far side" in many many situations and always get when posters like snail or Great kraw are joking & seriously laugh out loud. I see afterwards that some have taken their posts seriously then i think... could they have been serious?
