Often I see or hear the picture of what it will be like after death. I guess it's more an evangelical idea. But the idea is there's a line up and one person at a time steps up and God asks "why should I let you into heaven?".

Only if the person gives the correct password and says " I believe Jesus Christ alone as my personal lord and saviour" or something to that effect, are they let in.

I see this as an unrealistic picture of what will actually happen. God is not going to be asking you for a password. He already knows if you have faith or not. He already has everything recorded that you have done, said, thought, or believed. He won't ask if you can recite the Westminster Confession accurately. You will just find yourself going to a pleasant place, or not so pleasant place in an instant based upon a) in your time on earth did you truly believe in your heart and confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and b) how you lived your life.

That's my thoughts anyway.

It's hard to say what will actually happen in a linear perspective, i.e, a step by step guide as to what will happen. one thing we should think about more is that are our hearts right, are we standing right with God. For it is definately a given that we will have to give an account for ourselves, however which way that materializes.

It won't actually be a decision whether or not we will be accepted into heaven. Why. Because we are His children. In fact, we are already seated in the heavenly places in God with Jesus. This is a spiritual fact. We are already of the kingdom of heaven.

You are correct VW, but we will still ahve to give an account.. as mahogany was saying is that there is no defined way of how this wil happen. we al have at some point imagined a single file line waiting to give an account. the truth is we don't know how that will happen.

Absolutely, and it will be a fearful thing for some if not most of us.

I am always reminded of when John was caught up into heaven, whether in the Spirit or in the body, he knew not, but heaven he saw. And when he turned around to see who it was speaking to him, he saw Jesus and fell at His feet as a dead man.

Can't say much to someone like our Lord glorified.

Well technically everyone has access to the judgement seat, which I assume is in heaven. So I suppose that will probably be the first place you are taken. So maybe everyone has probationary access into heaven to get to the judgement seat? LOL I don't know. Who knows what will happen? I am just going to be happy when I have lived a full life and die a peaceful death or a martyrs death unto the Glory of my King. The best part is that I get all the time I could ever want to spend with my King :D

God has angels who stand at the offering plates. They watch how much you put in and they write down what was in your heart when you gave.
I know the ones who don't want to give won't like this. They can keep their money. They also will reap what they sowed. Sow nothing reap nothing.

I'm with you snail...........what?

God does not care how much I give, because I don't own anything. It is all His. It always was, I just did not know it for a long time.

If you are going to give, it is better to give from the heart, rather than out of duty or fear for God loves a cheerful giver.

SORRY, I HIT THE WRONG BUTTON AND ONLY SENT PART OF THIS.....I WONDER HOW THAT

HAPPENED.......

In Philipians chapter 3 there is a clear picture of this event, JESUS IS SEATED ON THE BEMA SEAT, AS WE WALK IN FRONT OF HIM.......EVERY BORN AGAIN SAINT OF GOD WILL DO THIS......

There are these strange, purification " stations" , places, I'm not sure what they are called..........However, please read EZEKIEL CH. 28 - vs.11-20

THIS IS THE EXACT DESCRIPTION OF LUCIFER WHEN HE FELL, WHY HE FELL....................READ CAREFULLY, THE KEY IN THESE PASSAGES IS THE FACT THAT ...........

YOU WERE IN THE GARDEN OF GOD.........EDEN! vs.13

READ ABOUT LUCIFER WALKING UP AND DOWN IN THE MIDST OF THE FIERY STONES

THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT PAUL IS DESCRIBING IN PHILIPPIANS CH. 3........

HE WAS HOLY, THE WORSHIP LEADER BEFORE THE THRONE OF GOD..........LOOK AT HIS GARMENT,

THAT WAS MADE FOR HIM, IT HAD PIPES, LIKE AN ORGAN OR SOMETHING, BEAUTIFUL SOUNDS

CAME FROM HIS GARMENT, AS THE WORSHIP WAS GOING ON IN HEAVEN................

COVERED AND ENCRUSTED WITH ALL OF THESE BEAUTIFUL GEMS, RADIANT LIGHT REFLECTED FROM

HIM FROM THE FATHER.....BECAUSE OF THIS GARMENT SPECIFICALLY MADE FOR HIM........

I think heaven might be a clear conscience. Does the Bible say otherwise?

From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." Matt 4:17 RSV
