I believe I understand exactly what you are saying. When I first came to know Jesus Christ is my Salvation, I would share the Word of God anywhere and everywhere, but my favorite place was up in the Rocky Mountains where it was most miraculous, but then, miracles are normal events to those who believe. Praise Jesus Christ, amen.
How amazing to be on the Rocky Mountains and share Jesus...especially if there were other believers to fellowship with. I can do "church" like that any day.

In a different example...When I went to a building the pastors used to say "Look at all the men out playing golf today, they can't make time for God, the golf course is competing with us and God" Now I think, a man can be with God playing golf with other believers and God is very much a part of that.

Jesus destroyed the church building in Jerusalem. His apostles were slobbering over the temple, how awesome and beautiful. Jesus punctured the holy helium right out of them when He said 'not one stone will remain on another'.

He told the woman at the well 'neither the church in this mountain or the church in Jerusalem shall be places of worship. Those that worship Me in the new and right manner, will worship Me in spirit and in truth.'

Jesus tears down the den of thieves church building and what does self interested man do? Starts building them all over again calling them God's house. Whoopie! Doesn't anybody try to understand this new covenant?

'So what's wrong with having a building Yet?' It paralyzes the body of Christ. In case you have noticed, all the seating is directed one way....toward a Grecian monologue, oratory pulpit.

How are we members of the body of Christ suppose to minister one to another looking at the back of someone's head.
" " " " " " " " " " " " " " " when one hireling is paid to do most of the ministering?

Enquiring mind wants to know?

RIP
Jesus Christ
We'd rather do things our way!

Many people these days find it a religious tradition to go to a church to worship once a week. For some, on the other hand, find the church as a place to meet new people or perhaps, a club to fill up their free time. Yet, there are some complains when they see some not so well to do people coming into the church, not wearing clean clothes, looking haggard, so on and so forth - that they even asked them to leave. While some looking at a drug addict or prostitute who just walk into the church and sat on the pew, the church members talk among themselves and some brave enough to tell them to go.

How about you? What is a church to you? As Jesus said in Mark 2:17, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come for the righteous but for the sinners." Hence, a church to me, is a hospital for the broken, wounded, injured, damaged, sick, all those who need healing and redemption from the grace of God.
The Church is all believers in Jesus in every time and place.

A church is a group of believers who have doctrinal agreement, and who choose to pool their resources of time and money to serve the Lord together in ways they could not afford alone.

The Greek word for Church meant Assembly. In the Apostles time it meant Assembly of believers, where they met at a certain place in one accord, with one mind to worship the Lord.
