This past thursday about 7 pm we had bad thunder storm here in my city. We lost power until about 1 am. I had no air and no lights, the only light was a mini flashlight. It was not a great night for me, but I know God was there with me. I made it through the storm with Gods' help. Thank you God for everyday even the stormy ones.

Psalm 118:24
This is the day which the
Lord hath made; we will rejoice
and be glad in it.

And I will praise you in this storm
And I will lift my hands
Cause you are who you are
No matter where I am
And every tear I've cried
You hold in you hand
You never left my side
And though my heart is torn
I will praise you in this storm!!!

----Casting Crowns

The day is thine, the night also is thine: Thou hast prepared the light and the sun.

Yeah..

22nd of February 2011, my city... Christchurh, New Zealand.. got hit by a 6.3 magnitude quake.

Earlier in September 2010 we got hit with a 7.1.

the 7.1 did some serious damage to the west side of the city.. but we managed to recover quickly and by January things seemed to be returning to normal.. then..

February 22nd earthquake we had one that rocked the entire city hard... and was devastating. It registered 6.3 on the richter but was worse than the 7.1 the september before hand. This was because it wasn't just shaking side to side.. but was forcing up buildings and dropping them.. up and down shaking as well.

The amazing thing for my workplace.. we were right in the middle of town.. and buildings were falling down around us.. glass breaking.. people screaming.. parts of buildings falling across the road onto cars.. cars getting stuck in sand coming up from underneath the city (liquefaction).. busses getting stuck in holes opening up in the road..

Yet none of the people in my workplace were seriously harmed.. hardly even bruised!

To put this in perspective.. that building we were working in is now GONE.. and just a hole remains from where it was demolished!

Ya so.. I was and am thankful we are all alive in my workplace.

it is good to remember that even on the sunny days we can only make it through with God's help...the stormy days just make God's help that much more evident :)

Vancouver BC just had a huge storm on Sunday which knocked out power to 750,000 people. So many trees fell, they still have not replaced all the power poles and people are still without power.

Many cars were crushed by huge falling trees. The damage was huge. Ironically, the city is flooded in many places, but it is still on water restrictions because the reservoirs are not filled from the driest winter, spring and summer on record.

Only one person out of 2 million people was hurt. I just hope the people in Vancouver will turn from their wicked ways, and acknowledge that God saved them out of the storm.

"And when he got into the boat, his disciples followed him. 24 And behold, there arose a great storm on the sea, so that the boat was being swamped by the waves; but he was asleep. 25 And they went and woke him, saying, “Save us, Lord; we are perishing.” 26 And he said to them, “Why are you afraid, O you of little faith?” Then he rose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. 27 And the men marveled, saying, “What sort of man is this, that even winds and sea obey him?” Matt 8:23-27

We know the real meaning of Eternal life when our life can face anything it has to face without wavering, then we know God knows that we know God.

"...What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey Him!" Matthew 8:27.

Our tyranny of the urgent need not apply, when our Commander and Chief reports for duty, and He is always on duty!
