The bible talks about men is such a higher way than women. You see it all the time. In the bible do you ever hear "women of God" all you hear is men. The12 disciples, men, Jesus, a man. Then you see how people shamed Mary for being pregnant and how the men are the spiritual leaders and that men are suppose to be the priests and pastors and how men are the head of the house hold and how they're the bosses and all this stuff and it's sad that even today, outside our houses and churches, women are still the outcasts. Like I understand if a guy is the one in charge of the household and I understand if the guy is the one who is suppose to be the pastor and stuff. All girls are seen as now and days are these horrible things. Things we shouldn't be seen as. The makeup, the hair, how much we care about our figures and clothes and our appearance and what we say or do or sound like. Society is a sad sad thing. People don't notice how terrible the world is right now. I mean America is a train wreck. We're known as the rich people who have whatever we want whenever we want. We have gay rights, transgenders, Marijuana, smoking, alcohol, we get to start driving when we're 15!!! Other countries don't have people start driving until they're 21!!! In America we see women portrayed as these nasty things and girls are expected to be like that?! Ugh absolutely hate this country. it's literally such a shame to be an American. You go to africa and there's poverty everywhere. China, children living on the streets. Eating dogs.. India, girls getting their ears and noses cut off just because they disobeyed their husbands orders. Iran, Iraq, Israel, poverty. War. Innocent people die. People don't realize how fortunate we are and even people with a bad home life here, have a better life than half the people in the world. And America has all the things we want. All the things that we think we need. But a struggle that we still have today is the way women are treated. We still see racism, we still see crime, we still see bullying. We still see unfair rights. We still see slavery, human trafficking. Society fails more and more each day and nobody seems to care and I find it ridiculous

Noteworthy women in the bible: Ruth, Esther, Tabitha, Sarah, Lydia, Mary, Phoebe, the Samaritan woman at the well, the virtuous woman in Proverbs, the leading women in Thessalonica, and others.

Galatians 3:28
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Paul commands husbands to love their wives. Ephesians 5.

The first to find the tomb of Jesus empty, a woman. The first eye witness of the resurrected Savior was a woman.

Jesus said this, Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her. Matthew 26:13

One reason, and I emphasize ONE, for men being mentioned more often, having leadership roles, and the such like goes back to the times the bible was written. Remember, the OT was written by Jews and for Jews. They were a male dominated society.
Yes, the bible reflects the manners and customs of the times in which it was written.

Also God is a masculine being, Father. And so, Adam first created, then Eve.

If you find a woman being demeaned in the bible, it probably is not of God. The exception being that the woman is being punished or corrected by God. But God does not demean women.

Read the lineage of Jesus, Matthew 1 and Luke 3. Women mentioned.

The truth is, God loves all His creation. Loves women just as much as He loves men. Remember, He sees the heart. Not male or female.

Well one thing we have to contend with is God speaks of Women differently than men. But then He speaks differently of men than Women too. If you catch my drift. Yes, eve came from Adams rib and was built to make him complete in joy. But man is here to be the leader of His family like that of Jesus is head of the church, so she is protected and sacrificed for--served with respect.

There are many issues we could discuss that make way for such an obtuse conclusion of women rights. We see for instance how Scripture always writes in the 'Him' or 'He' the masculine context showing what people assume to be favoritism. Truth be told this is simply grammar edict and is not in anyway to suggest a lower position of women. Men and women do have different roles hence the spawn of such a premise, but a higher way for men? No, this I do not see in Scripture, simply a role of difference like that of an usher over a Pastor, or a singer over a missionary, simply different, no less loved. No less included. No less honored for their role.

You start to think for God here in your statements. You first judge God in His view of women, wrongly so, then you claim right to His wrong judgement in your judgement of Him-- as "horrible things we should not be seen as." Do you believe God is love? If so, how can love get love wrong? Could this be a question to God instead? Instead of an accusation?!!

America is indeed in trouble, but that is seen by any nation not living a theocratic society, which is all of this planet unless I am mistaken. When you criticize your own country do you do it to help it or simply push the weight of concern onto it all the more? Where is the good place on earth right now? Tell me. What Planet harbors an ability to do it right? What options do you have in other words?

John Wesley once said, and I love this: "Give me a hundred people who fear nothing but God and who hate nothing but sin, and who know nothing but Jesus Christ and Him crucified, and I will shake this world." Life on this planet has been told by God to us to be on a coarse of destruction due to sins nature and His judgement of it., why are we unnerved by this? But God also said He will work thru you to bring people to Himself thru unconditional love and example of Himself thru you in your demeanor being like that of Christ in real time now here in this America today!.

So why tarry any longer? Get busy loving women in way God wants you to treat them.. Give honor to Him in the way of your faithfulness in way of service to your Nation. Let the things you can't change- go! Let the things you can't change in yourself but can change in His emergence in you so lock onto yourself it becomes a passion to accomplish, as He sets out and actually accomplishes it.

Change 'ridiculous' to 'hopeful' and then 'doable' and then 'do it' thru Christ our Lord! There are many things God wants to show you yet. Sit in things already accomplished in Christ and let Him. God bless you we think the world of you! And so does God!!

Yes, the bible actually teaches to regard women in a higher status than many other religions. But if you are determined to find negatives you can easily ignore the positives and focus on what you choose to see as negatives.
Your girlfriend is complaining about the nature of America in it's present state, yet One (notice i said one, not the only) of those reasons is the decline of the American family. Due to women insisting on having a change of role kids are now raised by nanny's, teachers, other students, coaches... because mom needs to assert her feminist tendencies and prove that she's just as capable as a man. Never mind that as traditional families collapse because women stopped staying home and are now working that there is no longer a solid structure to define marriage. Oh look, without the traditional family being the dominant concept of marriage, with the wife at home, now that has left the door open for gay marriage to take it's place as the new norm. That's not men's fault. Women needing to feel 'empowered' left that gap open. Now we have a bunch of kids being raised by other kids, having no rules, no boundaries, no respect... and well, no parent to teach them otherwise.
Another thing to consider is with more and more women joining the workforce that means less and less jobs are available. Jobs that could be going to men trying to provide for their family are going to women who chose to leave the traditional role and work. And in most of the kinds of cases i'm referring to this is not women working out of necessity but to earn their own money, or to help afford to pay for all the extras people want but don't need. Which then points to the woman's desires for material gains as another basis to abandon the role of wife and mother.
So by women leaving this 'lowly' position to become full time workers it creates a sense of selfishness and unhealthy pride. It collapses traditional marriage opening up the door for gay marriage to replace it. It make the job economy tighter by there being less jobs because there is now more people seeking them. Not to mention the greediness that is behind much of this motive.

Far as how a woman 'should' look, well, any guy worth having isn't going to be caught up in that. So if that's all a guy cares about then he's not the right guy. So what's the problem? He's advertising himself as being all wrong for her, saving her from getting involved with someone shallow.
And who are the models exactly? Oh. That's right. Women. Women are the ones helping to promote this image. It's not men in drag. It's women signing up, and they are lining up to do so, to perpetuate this idea of how a woman should look. So before she puts the blame squarely on men, she needs to realize this problem wouldn't be a problem if women weren't willing to be a part of it. Because they left their homes to find something 'better' to do.
Oh, and America isn't the first country to promote gay rights. There are already countries that view it as normal and accepted.

Women are so low in the bible? Hmm... what does the bible say about this subject? The bible says the first shall be last, and the last shall be first. It says God uses people the world would see as foolish. It says the meek shall inherit the earth, would that be a housewife or a female executive? God promotes and teaches humility over pride. Meekness over strength. Lesser over greater.
When the men showed up wanting to stone the woman (since the bible is written from the then current cultural viewpoint that existed at that time, and this attempt to stone her) who was known to be adulterous wasn't it Jesus that came to her aid? Shamed her accusers and showed her love and forgiveness? Towards a woman, where the cultural norm would've been to stone her, he saved her.
How about the woman at the well? Despite all her sleeping around Jesus didn't condemn her, he showed compassion towards her. Offered her the 'living water' and sent her on her way with hope.
Jesus bucked the expected treatment of women by treating them with kindness and compassion.
What about the woman who, by her own free will, chose to wash Jesus feet and cover them with expensive perfume? When one of the Apostles criticized her Jesus came to her defense and expressed that she was doing the right thing and, in a way, scolded the Male for his behavior and attitude.

Much of the condemnation you see specifically against women in the bible is a reflection of cultural norms at that time, not teachings from God.

How 'people' shamed Mary. You mean an unmarried teenage girl was ONLY shamed for getting pregnant before marriage in a time and culture that believed that killing a woman for such things was acceptable? Mary got off easy.

Your girlfriends anger seems unfocused, so she's just spouting off on everything. Really what she wrote sounded more confused than concise. One minute she's ranting against men and the bible and somehow that magically morphed into how horrible America is compared to other countries. But then again that changes into how horrible other countries are. Then how terrible the entire world is. Wait, what?

She kind of has this 'no one sees any of this and no one cares' mentality which sounds rather naive. But it makes me wonder, what is She doing about any of the things she's complaining about? I mean other than writing rambling rants to her boyfriend about it all? Does she only care enough to sit on line and complain about everyone else not caring, or is she off her but volunteering her time and life to aid all of the unjustices she sees? Because if she's sitting around doing nothing more than running her mouth and pointing the finger at everyone else then, in reality, she is no better than the people she's complaining about because she's not really doing any more than they are.

Does she know the bible at all? I mean really. It says right in the bible that this world will grow worse and become more evil. I'm guessing, given the ignorance she's already shown of he bible at the start of her rant, she doesn't have much Real knowledge of the bible. And quite possibly has made friends with, or has a teacher that, is going over all these things. And rather than using wisdom and maturity to find if these things are truth or not she's satisfied with blindly accepting what she's been told. Sounds like she needs to stop talking and start opening her bible and learn some truths, not rumors and secular ideologies.

I'm more concerned over two other issues:
1. She's your girlfriend. Why do you need advice to talk to your girlfriend?
2. Are you sure she's a Christian? Because she seems awfully angry over drivel, doesn't seem to follow God or even bother to find out what he says? She seems way more focused on her own pretty-self/self-importance.

The Bible does say in Galatians 5:22 - Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. 23 For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. 24 Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her.

Tell her to focus, you can only solve one problem at a time. LOL

Honestly, she sounds like a very caring girl that is upset about a lot of things. She's a bit confused also. She both hates America and acknowledges that it is better than anywhere else. She needs to get her relationship with God settled first and work on herself. We can't get the dust out of someone else's eye if we have a 2X4 in our own.

Advice I would give you is to not get deeply involved with anyone until they reach maturity. How old is she? She sounds very young. I don't mean to sound condescending but we just don't develop proper reasoning and we don't have our own identity firmly established until we are mature. She seems to be seeking to know herself and how she feels about many issues but she is only looking at the surface.
