    Default For the Birds

    Whenever I try to run nowadays, all I can muster my legs to do for me is a slow, lumbering, shuffling jog. Last night I drempt that I could run freely and effortlessly with my feet barely touching the ground. The thrill of it far exceeded that which I felt as a young boy when I dreamed of flying like a bird.

    The young men can flutter around heaven like canaries if they want to, but as for me, I just want to run again. Flying is for the birds

    Isa 40:29-31 (KJV)
    29) He giveth power to the faint; and to [them that have] no might he increaseth strength.
    30) Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
    31) But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew [their] strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; [and] they shall walk, and not faint.

    Isa 40:29-31 (ACF2007)
    29) Dá força ao cansado, e multiplica as forças ao que não tem nenhum vigor.
    30) Os jovens se cansarão e se fatigarão, e os moços certamente cairão;
    31) Mas os que esperam no SENHOR renovarão as forças, subirão com asas como águias; correrão, e não se cansarão; caminharão, e não se fatigarão.

    1 Pet 5:7
    Cast all your care upon Him; for He careth for you.

    2Cor 4:17
    For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding [and] eternal weight of glory;

    Psalm 84:4…3The bird also has found a house, And the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, Even Your altars, O LORD of hosts, My King and my God. 4How blessed are those who dwell in Your house! They are ever praising You. Selah. 5How blessed is the man whose strength is in You, In whose heart are the highways to Zion!…

    Your words remind me of my childhood, one of my favorite plays was to run freely, really fast.
    It also make me think about the time to the Lord how different it is from our time, the first Fathers of the faith used to live longer, and our time seems to run fast like a blink of an eye. Let's wait on the Lord's time and His promises. Blessings!
