Hello to all people who love Christ and to those who go against Christianity.

Christianity has no faults.

People should stop blaming Christianity for any wrong because Christianity has no faults.Nobody can point their finger at the Christian religion and blame it for any wrong doing or any misjustice against humanity.Christianity is blameless.Christianity is the only religion that promotes true peace for humanity without wavering.

Jesus' teachings.

1.Sell all you have and give to the poor. The early Church when it started the Christians sold all their possessions and gave to each other as each had need. They had all things in common which means they shared so nobody lacked anything but all needs were taken care of.Those that are rich are to distribute to people in need.God said if a person is rich and says to someone hungry I love you but does nothing to help them then the love of God does not dwell in them.
No selfishness in the Christian religion.

2.Love your enemies.Feed and clothe your enemies.Love for all people regardless if they like you or not.No hate in the Christian religion.

3.God said all wars come from man and not from Him.Jesus said do not fight for the kingdom of God by physical force. When physically abused to not fight back physically. When verbally abused do not fight back verbally. No fighting in the Christian religion.

4.The preachers are not to be in the ministry for the money. The preacher is only supposed to go by food, clothing and shelter and that in moderation and all other money is to further the ministry and to help people in need. The preacher does not get blessed any more than any other Church member.Do not let television evangelists or any other preacher try to convince you they get blessed more than any other member of the Church.God gets the glory.

5.God said having food and clothing be content.God only blesses us with our needs and not extravagant and blesses us with spiritual salvation.

Jesus' teachings are perfect in morals and love towards other people. If everybody followed Jesus' teaching there would not be fighting on earth even in the least sense and everybody would be fed and clothed and have shelter.

Jesus' teachings never change and are the same no matter how people act.Hypocrites do not void out Christianity or change Christianity.Christianity is the same no matter how people act.People can point their finger at a person that claims to be with Christ but does not do right and say hypocrite but they cannot point their finger at the Christian religion and say anything bad about it because Christianity has no faults.

1.You cannot be a Christian unless you act like Christ and go by His teachings. That means that only people that act like Christ can be a Christian and be part of the Christian religion.

2.Jesus said not everybody that calls Him Lord will make it to heaven but only those that do the will of God which is to act like Christ.Jesus said hypocrites will not make it to heaven but they will have their portion with the hypocrites and will have it worse than someone who rejected the truth.

3.Therefore only a person that acts like Christ can be a Christian so the Christian religion can only be made up of people who act like Christ.Hypocrites do not belong. So the any misjustice the hypocrites do can not reflect badly on Christianity because they are not part of the Christian religion.

Christianity has no faults.

Greetings Matt,

Very excellently wonderful post! Very true indeed.

If Christianity does look bad see:

Matt 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Acts 20:29
For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

Matt 7:
17Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

So, you sold all you have and gave it to the poor and joined a commune? Some things work for the time they work, Communism may work with God being number one but when men enter in it doesn't work. If I could live in a community structured like you described, I can't say I would or wouldn't join because I don't know of any place that has strictly that and it works, and even if it did exist, how could I reach the world if i'm anchored there?

You may plausibly know tons more than me about being a Christian but I can can only do what I know, and protecting and making sure my family is taken care of is a high priority for the Christian, if I have to go to war or kill an intruder in the night bent on harming my family I will. You can only do what you can do people get out of balance concerning the Word of God and then they run into trouble. People also have faults and God has to reach them where they are and NOT the other way around.

The Early Christians didn't live in a commune. They just met together and lived like family as they ought. Christians now-a-days live like strangers. My old church was a family until the leadership mucked it up.

The later part of your post is difficult to debate because it may or may not be Christian behavior. It is up to us to ensure that we are lead by God, but defending our family from intruders is - by all means I am certain - acceptable to God for a man to do. I do notice though in James that God says the rich in the last days kill the Christians and the poor even though "they don't resist" the Bible says.

A christian can be rich. First they want all the things of God. And then God just wants to bless them. If you don't want to be rich in things then what will happen when you get to those gold streets and the walls made of all kinds of jewels.
The bible said be content with what you have. If your in a time of less then be happy there. But he by no means meant for christians to be the poor people.
Do you think the devils people are the only ones who can be rich? Of course not.
If the christians followed God and obeyed him sharing with others doing what ever they could to be a blessing in the world God will bless them back many times. The riches are not just for wicked people. Its time the christians stop putting in there own thoughts and saying christians are to be poor.
Time they stop being jealous of the christians doing things right who are getting blessed coming and going out.
Thats the way it works.
Yes there ar some that are bad but thank God there are some doing it right and God blesses them.
Who wants to be poor?
God doesn't want any of his follows to be poor. Heaven on earth. Thy Kingdom come. The treasures of God and the things he gives his children while they are on earth.

So if you are a Christian in China and you are poor.... do you mean they have a problem with their walk??

If your are a Christian in India and you are poor... does that mean they have a problem with their walk?

What about South America and I can go on! Yes we should help others, but did God say he would bless us with riches..NO, He said He would bless us and we will not be poor (sermon on the mount for example) God might not even bless us for helping etc until we are in even, He might bless us now!

And, I have never heard a Christian yet we are all meant to be poor?? have you?

"Follow God, for who wants to be poor, God doesn't want any of His followers to be poor, you'll get the Treasures of God and the things he gives here on earth." is that a new gospel?

That's not the gospel, thats selling money, selling prosperity. The world does not revolve around American britain etc. without looking for stats, I could hazard a guess there are more Christian in poverty than in wealth, so their problem is that they have no Faith... ah well what a pity.

I give to the needy etc etc, but I know that God will meet my needs, my daily bread.. there is a difference?

Kind regards

Phil

A bit more on-topic...

Christianity is a religion. It is man-made. So yes, it has faults, just like every other man-made religion and system out there.

Christianity is not perfect. G-d is.

I'm impressed, I expected you to say i'm not a Christian or say I was totally wrong like many people do, instead you you corrected me and acknowledged where I maybe was right.

I still think what I thought before though, but one day I may do what the first post said, I think there is a time for everything.

Yawn. I guess I would have no faults either if I claimed that all my bad behavior weren't really committed by me. When you see a fault within Christianity you simply attribute it to false Christianity. It is sort of like the 'Calvinist shuffle' - a real Christian can never lose their salvation; therefore anyone who appears to be a Christian and then renounces their faith was never a Christian in the first place!

It is a dance as old as the Garden; "It wasn't me, it was the women! It wasn't me, it was the serpent!!"

Don't worry I see the irony - the 'Catholic shuffle' - if you want a divorce, we can't do that, but don't worry, you were never married in the first place!!

To quote Browncoat: "Christianity is a religion. It is man-made. So yes, it has faults, just like every other man-made religion and system out there."

I think it's important to acknowledge faults within man made systems. If something is perfect, there's no need to change, to improve, to grow. In fact, there can't be any change, improvement or growth upon perfection. But the history of Christianity, and other religions, shows a religion far from perfection. It's important to learn from past errors (that's not quite a strong enough word to describe the atrocities committed in the name of religion).

There has to be some balance between arrogance and humbleness. Be confident in your faith but don't be so stiffnecked as to say you have not sinned, you don't need to learn, you can treat others with contempt because your way is so much better and superior to theirs.

Unfortunately we cannot argue with the scriptures:

1 John 2:
4He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
5But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

The Bible makes abundantly clear who is and isn't a Christian. The problem is that "Christians" don't uphold God's standard because - if they did - they would realize that they aren't "Christian" at all.

Isaiah 29:
13Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me...

So, someone not acting in full accordance to Christian belief isn't a Christian? If that's true- there's no such thing as a Christian. I have yet to meet a perfect one. I have met some very nice, sincere people. But they still make mistakes and fall short of Christian teaching.

There have been people who bring a bad name/ reputation to Christian belief through their actions. I have met several of them, also. Some of these individuals have brought a lot of harm to people through their behavior. But... are they still Christian?

I guess my question is: what makes a Christian? How do you know you're a Christian?

When I think of the Christians I have the most respect for, they are the people who truly attempt to live up to the standards of Christian teaching:
they are humble, help others in a variety of ways, speak their faith gently yet with power, don't judge- yet still hold to their beliefs, pray, teach, worship- in other words, it's a life style, not a Sunday morning event. There are several I have met that makes me wonder "what do they have that I don't?"

So, what makes a Christian?

Phil its clear there is such a thing as being poor on this earth. God said there will always be poor. Makes me wonder did he say that cause he knew the devil would deceive the Christians and they would be running around telling everyone if you believe in the most high God you need to poor. Or was it because he knew the Christians he gave lots of money to would be selfish and not share. Or is it cause he knew Christians would make up some lies on why they are not to tithe.
As far as those places you mentioned they worship all kinds of other gods in those places.
Its fact that the Christians that are rich if they shared everyone would have plenty.
If we are to be poor then where is our testamony. Who would want to be like us.

Wow. All I can say is I totally, completely disagree. It is amazing to me how much the propriety movement has warped our understanding.
