Jesus says "If you love Me, you will do what I say"

What does Jesus say? "A New commandment I give unto you, LOVE ONE ANOTHER"

Those who LOVE ONE ANOTHER, LOVE JESUS.
Those who claim to Love Jesus, but do NOT Love One Another, lie and do not the Truth.

It is written if you Love Jesus you will keep His commandments.

What are His Commandments? Don't care what men teach His commandments are, want to know what the Word of God teaches His Commandments are.

1Jn 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
1Jn 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should
[1] believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and [2] LOVE ONE ANOTHER, as he gave us commandment.
1Jn 3:24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

If you love anything more than Jesus, that is Spiritual fornication, you have put something before Jesus Christ. That sin that you Don't want to give up, or you say you can't give up, is what you put before Jesus Christ, that is why it is written in the Word for our benefit to "Get rid of the sin that so easily besets you"

This is what God told me one day word for word

There is no sin that you do that you can't cease from.

Woe to this generation which deceive their own selves by saying they can't cease from them, that it's not possible, or they don't have to.

What does the Inspired Word of God call those who can't cease from sin? Cursed children. Why are they cursed because they do not know that Jesus has the Strength and Power to overcome any temptation in their lives. Is it His fault this generation does NOT seek Him when they are tempted to commit sin?

Those who LOVE ONE ANOTHER will be taken up with Him.
Those who do not Love One Another, no matter what they claim with their mouths, or how much they claim to believe in Jesus, will NOT be taken up with Him.

The path that i teach is the narrow and difficult path that leads to life everlasting, But who in this generation will believe it? Few, and i mean a very FEW will take that path, for who in this generation is willing to give up their sinning for Jesus Christ?

Thank you for sharing your wise insight.

I started this thread because recently I have run into professing Christians – not just in cc – who claim to be devoted to Jesus Christ but can’t let go of their passion for country music or football (is ridiculously glorified here), soap operas, gossip, and some other things. And they get belligerent when anyone suggests to them that their priorities are misplaced. For example, several months ago I saw where “Dolly Parton, owner of Dollywood theme parks came out in support of gays and lesbians, calling Christians who judge them "sinners". I have a friend who is a very decent young lady and her husband is also what appears on the surface to be pillars of Christianity, but can see no harm in mixing many things with their professed faith. When I shared that item about Dolly Parton, she said, “Good grief that makes me sad!!!” but that knowledge changed nothing in her life. It is so important that people realize the influence some things have on their subconscious minds in order to really live as God has told us we must if we are His. A while back I posted an excerpt from A.W. Tozer that I found so revealing and explanatory of how professing Christians think today.

Root of the Righteous Excerpt
“Within the past few years, for instance, Christ has been popularized by some so-called evangelicals as one who, if a proper amount of prayer were made, would help the pious prize fighter to knock another fighter unconscious in the ring. Christ is also said to help the big league pitcher to get the proper hook on his curve. In another instance He assists an athletically - minded parson to win the high jump, and still another not only to come in first in a track meet but to set a new record in the bargain. He is said also to have helped a praying businessman to beat out a competitor in a deal, to underbid a rival and to secure a coveted contract to the discomfiture of someone else who was trying to get it. He is even thought to lend succor to a praying movie actress while she plays a role so lewd as to bring the blood to the face of a professional prostitute.

Thus our Lord becomes the Christ of utility, a kind of Aladdin's lamp to do minor miracles in behalf of anyone who summons Him to do his bidding.
Apparently no one stops to consider that if Christ were to step into a prize ring and use His divine power to help one prize fighter to paralyze another He would be putting one fighter at a cruel disadvantage and violating every common instinct of fair play.
If He were to aid one businessman to the detriment of another He would be practicing favoritism and revealing a character wholly unlike the Bible picture of the real Christ. Furthermore, we would have the grotesque situation of the Lord of glory coming to the aid of an unreconstructed Adam - on Adam's terms.
All this is too horrible to contemplate, and I hope that the proponents of this modern accommodating Christ do not see the implications that lie in their shoddy doctrine. But perhaps they do see, and are willing nevertheless to offer this utilitarian Christ as the Saviour of mankind. If so, then they no longer believe in the deity nor the lordship of Christ in any proper definition of those words. Theirs is a Christ of carnal convenience, not too far removed from the gods of paganism.
The whole purpose of God in redemption is to make us holy and to restore us to the image of God. To accomplish this He disengages us from earthly ambitions and draws us away from the cheap and unworthy prizes that worldly men set their hearts upon. A holy man would not dream of asking God to help him beat an opponent or win over a competitor. He would not wish to succeed if to do so another man must fail. No man in whom the Spirit dwells could bring himself to ask the Lord to help him knock another man unconscious for filthy lucre or the plaudits of the vulgar spectators.”

Paul did not insult, bite & consume his brethren.
All these arguments prove nothing and your logic is wharped carnal thinking. - You cannot understand the word with the carnal mind. It takes REVELATION from God and the light of the Holy Spirit to understand scripture.

Those who continue to fight with and insult people are void of the Holy Spirit, walking in the flesh & carnal mind, without understanding.

I am now unsubscribing from this and every other thread where people continue to spew anger and hatred and push their own agenda. It is a mockery of what Yeshua did for us on the cross.

I pray God brings maturity to His people soon.. It is coming.
Prepare.

Paul called people who believed we were saved by the spirit, but perfected that salvation by works FOOLS..

We have, as Christians, just absorbed the culture around us and don't say anything when we see other professing Christians practicing sin and often fall right in step with the rest of the world's sin and political correctness. For example, when I was a child it was literally illegal - against the law - for two people to live together without being married and it was called cohabitation. I don't remember anything about how well it was enforced in our town but I remember hearing my older aunts and uncles (good Lutherans but not born-again Christians) talking about how terrible it was that somebody they knew of was "cohabitating" and now their own grandchildren are routinely doing it. We ought to be livid - incensed - furious that this is acceptable in the minds of people wgo claim to be Almighty God's children!

We are living with the last days generation. Here is a description of the world today, and sadly enough, most Christians fit into these as well.

2Ti 3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
2Ti 3:3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
2Ti 3:4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
2Ti 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Lovers of their own selves, These are selfish, and put self above the needs of others.

covetous, These desire to have more than what they already have, they want more, when the Bible plainly teaches to be content with what you have.

boasters, These boast of their own deeds and accomplishments, without giving God the Glory for them being able to do such things.

proud, These think they are better or more important that others, better in some way, better driver, better job, better looking, and what have you, NOT humble.

blasphemers, These are they that blaspheme God, These are wives that are not obedient to their husbands.

disobedient to parents, These are they that do not obey their parents.

unthankful, These are they that feel others owe them, that they deserve this or that. These are they that do not Thank God every single day.

unholy, These are they that knowingly and willingly do those things which are UNHOLY.

Without natural affection, These are they that are uncaring, unfeeling, no empathy.

trucebreakers, These are they that do not keep their word. Do not do what they say they will do.

false accusers, These are they who falsely accuse others. Done by assuming something about another, without having the proof to back it up. Is it not written in the mouth of two or more witness shall something be established, these falsely accuse others without stating the proof. This happens a lot i have noticed on CC.

incontinent, These are they that lack self control, or self restraint. an example would be viewing porn, they want to stop know it is evil, yet continue to do it over and over anyways, feeling convicted every time. These are they that are addicted to this or that, and what to stop but can't.

fierce, These are they that are short tempered, short fuse, get angry easily, blow up. These are they that others get scared when they are angry.

despisers of those that are good, These are they that dislike those who are good, and will say all manner of things against them.

Traitors, These are they that will say one thing, but do another, two faced.

heady, These are they that do not think before they speak, these are they who do not have a teachable spirit.

highminded, These are they who think of themselves above others.

lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; These are they that continue to do sinful things that are pleasurable even though they know it is against God, but do them anyways. They would rather please self, than to please God. (ie Fornication, Adultery, viewing porn)

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: These are they that profess to be Christ-like (Christian) yet altogether deny Jesus Strength and Power against the wicked one. These are they that do not seek His help when they are tempted. These are they who think of themselves as a Good Tree, yet they produce a few bad fruits. These are they that claim to be Righteous, yet do things that are unrighteous. These are they that profess to be Holy, yet do things that are unholy. These are they that in all appearances appear to be Good Christians but inside are corrupt with sin.

from such turn away. lol, no wander i am a hermit.

These are an accurate description of the world we live in today. For who out there has LOVE one for another? Very few do. And as i said before many Christians today fit into these things as well, and this should not be so.
