    Default The trees

It has been a while since I have posted or commented, mainly because I was discouraged by the unfriendly comments and frankly I fell victim to the arguments and lost site of the purpose of this and other such forums.

Any way.... The reason I am here now is to bring up an interesting topic...

Where does it say that Adam and Eve were removed from the garden for eating of the fruit?

    Look at the discussions....

[Gen 3:10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I [was] naked; and I hid myself.
11 And he said, Who told thee that thou [wast] naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?
12 And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest [to be] with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.
13 And the LORD God said unto the woman, What [is] this [that] thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.

It seems to me that the Man blamed the Woman, and she blamed the the serpent. No one took responsibility for their own action. There was no confession for their sin, only blame.

This is a carnal reaction and not a spiritual one.

    Re your question:

God commanded not to eat of that special tree.

    Gen 2:16-17
16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
    KJV

    They ate from that tree.

    Gen 3:6
6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
    KJV

The remainder of Chapter 3 speaks about the consequence of eating from that tree. Don't get caught up in the interesting details and miss the main point.

Of course in the details we find several other worthwhile points; which do not address your question.

Which shows how God unfailing love and mercy is more that we can even contemplate.

God did not demand goodness to be forgiven, He just demanded we trust him, Let him save us.

Sadly, Satan still want to lie to us, and take us away from God. by making us relate to God with religion, and not in humility and love.
Eternally Grateful for the grace God has shown a wretched soul such as myself.

Rom 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus,

The Bible clearly states that A&E were removed from the garden to KEEP THEM FROM eating of the tree of life.

So the LORD God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken. After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.

There is no question that they ate of the tree. I have to wonder if that is the direct reason for their exile.

The tree of life was and is still available...

[Gen 3:22 KJV] 22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

[Jhn 14:6 KJV] 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

[Gen 3:24 KJV] 24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

The remainder of chapter 3 calling Adam, Eve, and the serpent (Satan) each accountable for their own disobedience.

    Gen 3:17-19
    17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
    18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

    KJVGen 3:22-24
22 And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
23 Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

Actually, if you look close you'll see that they did confess their sin - I ate.

Adam blamed his wife, and Eve blamed the serpent. So what? Both of them admitted (confessed) that they ate the fruit, i.e., broke the law.

Adam and Eve were kicked out of the Garden of Eden because they disobeyed God. True they blamed others instead of confessing, but regardless they disobeyed God (sinned), they were also kicked out so as to not have access to the Tree of Life.

But make no mistake, it was never God intentions for them to live in the Garden of Eden forever, as is taught today by men. satan did not break into the Garden, he did not sneak into the Garden, he was allowed in the Garden, to do what satan does. Also if God wanted them to live in the Garden of Eden forever, He would have never allowed the tree of knowledge to be there in the first place. Before Adam and Eve were even created, Jesus knew that one day He was going to come in the flesh and be crucified for humanities sins. God gave Adam and Eve only ONE COMMANDMENT. Which He knew full well with satan being there to tempt them, that they would sin. NOT that is what He wanted them to do, but He knows what is in flesh. God and satan have a covenant. If they didn't, then satan would kill all the unsaved this second, so they will belong to him, but he can't do that because of the covenant. To read more and understand this covenant, please read this article The Meaning of Life. Which is what has been revealed to me by God.

Rom 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Woe to them who continue to willingly sin, and think Grace is upon them.
