Grace, Law? What about it? How do we resolve it.

KennethC gave me and all a reminder in Just-Me's wonderful thread on PHARISEES.

Here is the solution.

Do what Jesus teaches and did.

If you feel a need to argue this, you need His help right away.

Thank you Just-Me and KennethC..........

Wonderful! Yes, we must be born again, and live with Jesus Christ always in our hearts.

More of His teachings and observances on His Example are welcome. God bless you...amen.

JESUS taught that you have to be reborn.

Well, then according to you I need serious help.
The only person that could "do what Jesus teaches and did" was Jesus. If I could "do what Jesus teaches and did" I wouldn't need Jesus. In my own strength I can't "do what Jesus teaches and did".

Romans 7:15-25
15 For I do not understand what I am doing, because I do not practice what I want to do, but I do what I hate. 16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree with the law that it is good. 17 So now I am no longer the one doing it, but it is sin living in me. 18 For I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my flesh. a For the desire to do what is good is with me, but there is no ability to do it. 19 For I do not do the good that I want to do, but I practice the evil that I do not want to do. 20 Now if I do what I do not want, I am no longer the one doing it, but it is the sin that lives in me. 21 So I discover this principle: D, b When I want to do what is good, evil is with me. 22 For in my inner self I joyfully agree with God's law. 23 But I see a different law in the parts of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and taking me prisoner to the law of sin in the parts of my body. 24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this dying body? 25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with my mind I myself am a slave to the law of God, but with my flesh, to the law of sin.

Not at all; you are forgetting grace and mercy, completely. We have been taught this and given these gifts because we cannot achieve perfection on our own. God, Himself, has begun a work in each of us that He will complete on His great and glorious day, when we are all united with Him. Until then we are to follow the Example of Jesus Christ as best we are able.

I am very sorry if people are teaching others that we can be exactly like Him, and even more sorry if people think this is what children of obedience are teaching. This is far from true.

We are to obey as best we are given to be able, living in grace, and always asking for mercy, for otherwise we would not be asked to confess our sins one to another, and sin is breaking the law. So I ask all, if we must confess our sins after having received the gifts of grace and mercy, how is it the law is not good? How is it it is abolished?

Be children of obedience, for disobedience is of the former selves we all had in common at one time

Blessed be the children in Jesus Christ, amen.

There not need to be in a huff. I see you have your private agenda, possibly shared by a majority who will vot with ou, but the truth is, Jesus Christ is our Example to follow. This is taught in the Word.

You go ahead nd reas, but as far as I have experienced, the entry of the Holy Spirit into my heart impulsed me to shae the Word everywhere I could. I was to joyous to finish my studies at the U of Illinois, two months prior to my graduation with very good marks..

All I wanted nd want is to be like Jesus Christ. It is enough to be like Him, we can never achieve His perfection, but we do have a promise from Him, from our Father........

May God bless you and may you understand that faith will lead to works. Obedience forms only a part of good works.

it doesn't seem like Jesus would be preaching and teaching things that He didn't think we could handle. What would be the point. Remember Jesus said, with God all things are possible? Matthew 19:26. Mark 9:23, Jesus said unto him, if thou canst believe all things are possible to him that believeth. Luke 18:27, And He said, the things that are impossible with men are possible with God. Matthew 11:30, For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Your reminders of Holy Scripture are totally edifying and uplifting, truly inspired. You remind us of the great help we have in trusting God, our Father, and leaning totally on our faith. I forget this sometimes...shame on me... It is good t imitate our Lord, for He is the Only Example given us by the Father, and it would be ungracious not to follow It.

The law commands that every male be physically circumcised. Those who weren't were cut off from Israel.

If any male is not circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin, that man will be cut off from his people; he has broken My covenant. Genesis 17:14

And in the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised. Leviticus 12:3

Paul said physical circumcision was of no value and every one who got physically circumcised for the sake of keeping law were cut off from Christ.

And I testify again to every man who receives circumcision, that he is under obligation to keep the whole Law. You have been severed from Christ, you who are seeking to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace. ... For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but faith working through love. Galatians 5:3-4, 6

Who do you obey?

My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue, but in deed and in truth.
And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him.

God Almighty has revealed His Name to us by every word that He has ever spoken and revealed to us. His name is complete, and inseparable.

Scriptural fact is that if one separates God's word against itself, after all is done, will have accomplished separating themselves from Christ Jesus the Lion of Judah. Our name should be found in the same place that ALL of God's name is found which is the "book of life."

In the end, will we be ready to confess the reason for our actions whether right or wrong in the sight of God.

The name of God is written in His Word. Where will our name be found if we reject even a portion of God's name as the hypocritical Pharisees omitted that Jesus confronted? "For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God." Romans 14:11

Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name. Malachi 3:16

He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. Revelation 3:5

And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Revelation 20:15

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. Hebrews 4:1

I prefer some Scripture to prove your point.

I am referring to this Romans 7:25 I thank God through Jesus Chris our Lord! So then, with my mind I myself am a slave to the law of God , but with my flesh, to the law of sin.

AGAIN...If I could "do what Jesus teaches and did" I wouldn't need Jesus. Jesus followed the law perfectly. Jesus fulfilled the law.

When grace says one thing, and the law says another, which do you obey?
Grace is within the complete name of God. The name of God is with His grace. We are separated from sin through Christ Jesus, but not from God. The hatred (enmity) against His word have been abolished in Christ's sacrifice. The grace of God desires a separation from sin, and a separation from despising (having enmity) against His spoken words.

Speak unto Aaron and to his sons, that they separate themselves from the holy (set apart) things of the children of Israel, and that they profane not my holy name in those things which they hallow unto me: I am the Lord. Say unto them, Whosoever he be of all your seed among your generations, that goeth unto the holy things, which the children of Israel hallow unto the Lord, having his uncleanness upon him, that soul shall be cut off from my presence: I am the Lord. Leviticus 22:2-3
