Jesus spoke about freedom in the Word of God without bondage, burdens and yokes hindering a believer. The Book of John is powerful to a believer how to stand in this world of madness with truth and freedom.

John 8

Truth and Freedom

30 As He was saying these things, many believed in Him. 31 So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word,[i] you really are My disciples. 32 You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
33 “We are descendants[j] of Abraham,” they answered Him, “and we have never been enslaved to anyone. How can You say, ‘You will become free’?”
34 Jesus responded, “I assure you: Everyone who commits sin is a slave of sin.35 A slave does not remain in the household forever, but a son does remain forever. 36 Therefore, if the Son sets you free, you really will be free. 37 I know you are descendants[k] of Abraham, but you are trying to kill Me because My word[l] is not welcome among you. 38 I speak what I have seen in the presence of the Father;[m] therefore, you do what you have heard from your father.”
39 “Our father is Abraham!” they replied.
“If you were Abraham’s children,” Jesus told them, “you would do what Abraham did. 40 But now you are trying to kill Me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. Abraham did not do this! 41 You’re doing what your father does.”
“We weren’t born of sexual immorality,” they said. “We have one Father—God.”
42 Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, because I came from God and I am here. For I didn’t come on My own, but He sent Me.43 Why don’t you understand what I say? Because you cannot listen to[n] My word. 44 You are of your father the Devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning and has not stood in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he tells a lie, he speaks from his own nature,[o] because he is a liar and the father of liars.[p] 45 Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me. 46 Who among you can convict Me of sin?If I tell the truth, why don’t you believe Me? 47 The one who is from God listens to God’s words. This is why you don’t listen, because you are not from God.”

When God's Holy Spirit first entered into me, and those times I have been with someone filled with the Holy Spirit, His love was so strong all around me, that these are my Holy reference points in my walk with Jesus Christ.

That Love is God. God is Love. Not love as people who do not know the Hoy Spirit think of it, for it has nothing to do with flesh. It is Life, Joy, Gladness, Ecstasy, and all Goodness. Why would anyone not be a servant or slave to this Love for all eternity.

God is good, and always the ultimate joy to serve, amen.

I agree. But it takes knowledge and growth for the believer to realize and live in that freedom. Many believers live in a cage that has a door wide open. They don't grow in His grace and knowledge.

New Living Translation
Think of it this way. If a father dies and leaves an inheritance for his young children, those children are not much better off than slaves until they grow up, even though they actually own everything their father had.

English Standard Version
I mean that the heir, as long as he is a child, is no different from a slave, though he is the owner of everything,

Berean Study Bible
What I am saying is that as long as the heir is a child, he is no different from a slave, although he is the owner of everything.

Berean Literal Bible
Now I say, for as long a time as the heir is a child, he differs not from a slave, though being owner of everything.

New American Standard Bible
Now I say, as long as the heir is a child, he does not differ at all from a slave although he is owner of everything,

When they in the faith of the Lord put their full love and trust in the Lord to follow Him, His teachings, and commands !!!

Luke 6:46-49 and John 3:21 both shows true believers who are not a slave to sin/law are those that do what He has said.

Forgive my ignorance, I thought the title to the OP is in reference to being a servant or slave of God, Who is Love......

Good Afternoon,

It is not a problem because I have enjoyed each person responses. We are sharing with respect, and love for one another in the Word of God. There is no debating just sharing, learning and studying. Thank you all!

Romans 8:15-16King James Version (KJV)[SUP]15 [/SUP]For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

I freely choose to be a slave to Jesus. He doesn't demand it of me, but whatever/whoever a person gives themselves to has power over them, and in a sense they become a slave to.

I choose to obey my only Master, Jesus.
