Interesting little read about how the quake in Chili has actually shifted Earth's axis and shortened the length of our days by miliseconds!

This doesn't have much to do with Bible Discussion, but for those of you "watching for Jesus" it does appear natural disasters are beginning t be more frequent and larger.

seriously right? As if a day wasn't short enough already! I barely have time to do everything I already do, and now I'm going to lose whole MILISECONDS of sleep.

In the last 5 months we have had 47 earthquakes throughout the world that have been 6.0 and greater. The word says that when this happens it is not the end yet, but the beginning of sorrows. Mat.24

Actually if you look at the frequency of earthquakes back even ten years there has been a dramatic increase since 2002. I mean huge!
What I find interesting is the lack of comments about all of it.

Personally, I could care less if the end is near. *shrug*

My focus is on doing what Yeshua said and what Scripture says. Focusing on this world and my life here and what I am to do here, and not focusing at all on the afterlife.

I understand what you mean about just living life, but researching stuff like this is sort of like peaking your head out of the curtains just to see if the car has pulled into your driveway when you know someone you're excited to meet is coming to visit. I'm pretty excited to meet Jesus.

And Pickles, I hadn't realized it was that severe of an increase, thank you for putting it into perspective for us.

Yes me too! I heard it has something to do with the planets lining up and the pull on the earth. They will be lined up in 2012. They say it is going to change the poles, north and south poles. This comes from someone I know in the military, who knows things like this.
He says they are not going to tell anyone, they don't want people to freak out.

I say, Look and keep watch, make sure you have your own oil to make it till the King comes. He's coming!
